Heerlijk vegan rijsttafel - Edit
We hebben hier een heerlijke Vegan rijsttafel gegeten, ze houden goed rekening ook met allergieën.
Read moreWe kregen een heerlijke veganistische kroepoek als welkom.
Overal staan ook iets met katten en Tempelwachters.
De service is erg goed en zorgvuldig, ook de dame en heren zijn erg serieus met hun werk.
We waren al eerder geweest op de oude locatie waar ze al bijna 25 jaar zaten,
Nu ook op de nieuwe locatie erg fantastisch als altijd!
Pros: Sambal goreng tempe , Houten katten als interieur , Buiten eten
Cons: Toiletten groen ingericht?

Vegan Indonesian ricetable - Edit
Whenever we are in the Netherlands, we always try to visit an Indonesian restaurant. There's always vegan options available and the cuisine is delicious!

I had specified we wanted a vegan ricetable when making the reservation.
Service was rather reserved. When we were seated at our table, we noticed kroupouk on the table, and when ordering (and repeating we wanted a vegan rice table), the waiter said the kroupouk & sauce was not vegan and he would bring a replacement (we normally get emping or cassave crackers at Indonesian restos).
The replacement however never came ...
The ricetable came swiftly. No heaters on the table to keep the food warm (as is usually the case).
Food was nice, but not extraordinary, and at 29,75€ pp very steep.
Nicely decorated place, loved the cat statues. Not accessible: very steep ridge when entering, no accessible toilet.
Large outdoor seating.

Milk Powder - Edit
FYI: In 2018 the vegan rice table changed. Due to Milk Powder as an ingrediënt in many of the meals. The result was, that the variety/amount of vegan rice table dishes declined enormously (not many left that are suitable for vegans, I think there were only ~3 items left). Thusfar the rice table is not back to its former glory, hence my 2stars. Would love to eat the superb vegan rice table from back in the days. Whenever they serve it again, I would really like to go there. So I will wait patiently :)

During our visit, they did seem knowledgeable about vegan, even expliciting one or more dishes came without sauce, since the sauce wasnt vegan (as also about the croupouc and sauce).
Read moreBut nonetheless, that's a true shame they use milkpowder in so many dishes (and Indonedian cuisine mostly doesnt use dairy even!)
