National dish from Egypt. Great food.

The restaurant is like a fast food for their national dish koshari. It's simple but very tasty, I really enjoy the taste and it fills me up. You can only choose how big the portion should be. Large, medium, small, very small, super small. You add the hot sauce at the table yourself. It's very cheap so I'm not surprised the card payment is not available.

I really really loved it

I don't live near Mahata el Raml but I was there buying yarn when I heard about this place. I wanted to eat Koshary that day and was sick of eating at Abu Awad. they put barely any chickpeas and lentils and they give you the tiniest little packets of Daqqa, it's so lifeless. so I decided to check it out.

I was pretty blown away by their food. Koshary means a lot to me and it made me very happy to have some this good in Alexandria. I don't know how much daqqa they add in takeout boxes but when you eat in, your table has 2 full bottles of daqqa and hot sauce and they give you a pitcher of tomato sauce with the food. it was hot when it arrived and the portions are very good for their pricing. 10/10 would go again.

Note: The place is very popular and in a very popular area. So if you’re planning on eating in on a weekend. You might have to wait your turn. The waiting period isn’t too long but I just wanted to make you aware of it.
