Vegan Options

Love the tofu bibimbap bowl. I have Alpha gal and they take great care to make sure my food is safe. Very kind and friendly service.

Pros: Outdoor dining , Great service , Alpha Gal Safe

I loved Koriya until…

…they changed the kochi sauce recipe and it contains fish now. Kochi sauce in my bibimbap is like my favorite thing — I literally don’t want sesame sauce, I want kochi sauce. Otherwise, everything is great and good quality always. Tofu is bland but I like the added protein.

Pros: Parking is good, Quality, Good amount of food!

Cons: A bit pricey , Kochi sauce needs to be VEGAN, Would like marked vegan options on menu

Several vegan options

The restaurant we'd planned to eat at was closed, so we came here. What luck! Food was great. We all had the stone bowls with tofu and the sesame/peanut sauce and kimbap (Korean sushi) minus egg. Kids all loved it, too.

Pros: Kimbap made vegan, Sesame/peanut sauce, Hot stone bowls

Cons: Would be nice if vegan menu options marked

It should have 5 stars

Delicious food, accommodating staff, overall a great experience. The menu is extensive with lots of options that can be vegan. We only waiting very little for our food to come and it’s big portions.

Pros: Delicious , Lots of options

Cons: A bit pricey

Good options, B flavor

Maybe it's just a midwest thing, but the tofu in the bibimbap tasted completely unseasoned, and when I went back to try the tofu steak it had a lot more sauce thankfully, but barely any salt.

Pros: Many options, Accomodating

Cons: Bad/minimal seasoning

Very accommodating

Staff was very friendly and helpful to make a dish vegan. Had the tofu steak with sesame sauce and it was very good. The tofu is fried but not greasy.

Vegan Korean

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed Koriya! It was easy to make vegan and incredibly flavorful. The staff was really helpful when trying to create our dishes and making sure everything would suit our diets.

Will make a great vegan option for you!

I called ahead and asked if they had any vegan options. They indicated the bibimbap could be veganized by omitting the meat and egg. I asked if they could substitute with tofu instead of the meat and egg and they did. I got the cold option from the lunch menu but there is a hot bowl option that is more expensive. One got the Jabchae from the appetizer menu but it is already vegan and was also a nice large portion ($12) and had a good flavor of sauce.

The bibimbap vegetable quality was good. The tofu was cooked well with a nice, crispy outside. Staff was friendly & helpful. Sauce on side was spicy which I like. The portions were nice sized and the prices were in line for Korean restaurants. The surroundings were pleasant enough/not fancy and clean with ample seating. Service-4 stars, value 3.5 stars, taste 4 stars, speed 4 stars.
Open on 4th of July when other Korean places closed.

Pros: Helpful staff, Open on 4th of July when other Korean places close, Nice portion sizes

Cons: Limited items could be easily veganized

Highly recommended!

We have really enjoyed our meals at Koriya. The tofu steak is delicious as are their bowls. The seaweed salad is also a must! Delicious!! The staff is good at helping with how to make entrees vegan. Five stars although they only let me vote to four stars because the restaurant isn't fully vegan. (I don't like that feature Happy Cow.)

The staff was helpful in sharing which items were vegan and which to avoid. Tasty vegan BiBimBop (hot stone bowl).

Delicious vegan options!

Stopped off the highway for lunch thanks to happy cow and so glad we did! Vegan not marked but pretty easy to identify. I had the hot stone bibimbap with no egg, daughter had the tofu steak, other daughter the japchae with no meat or egg. We were blown away by how delicious the food was. Presented very nicely too. If you're going through Springfield you have to try this place.

Pros: Unique Korean food. Healthy and delicious. Plent

Cons: Could label vegan options on the menu.

Koriya

The food was so delicious and I ate the whole bowl! I had one of the vegetable rice and shrimp bowls (I was eating seafood at the time)and it was so fresh and the brown rice was tender but not mushy while the shrimp was very succulent and flavorful! We arrived upon closing time so we were going to get ours to go but they insisted that we stay and eat our bowls there. We were made to feel very welcome.
So the service was wonderful! I can't wait to go again and crave those bowls!! Tera Lumeyer Hollister, MO

Pros: fresh delicious food, prompt friendly service, very clean

Cons: expand restaurant

YUMMMMMM! FINALLY!

Not ONLY did the counter person know exactly what off of the menu a vegan could order (Note: the menu is not marked specifically vegan, but the person who took our order knew off the top of her head, so non-confusing), my order was neither hastily taken nor sparsely prepared!

I left feeling full and satisfied, and as if I had had an authentic meal, not something random thrown together for "the customer who I guess cannot eat anything." This is also authentic Korean food like one would find in the college section of a large city with a large ethnic population.

Most of the sauces are vegan-friendly, and there are several rice/noodle combinations available (including the Kimchi! Which in my excitement over their vegan options I did not check to make sure there is no fish sauce in it, but next time I will double check, just to make sure...)

YAY! Highly recommend.

Pros: Easy Menu, staff knowledgeable, Yummy authentic Korean food, Lots of Options
Cons: No vegan menu/not clearly marked
