Taj has long wait times and does not like to make accommodations to their menu. They are always very crowded and the service is lacking, there was one time we sat there for 45 mins before a waiter ever came to our table. We noticed that certain guests get preferential treatment, but my husband and children are Indian and were virtually ignored. We had also explained that we were vegan and were still brought food with ghee (Indian butter), and when my husband sent it back that didn’t go over well. I have 2 stars because they do have dahl and aloo jeera that can be pretty good. We just do not like the wait times which have also been over 2 hours, when it is in a strip mall and they also play loud modern Hindi music videos that are not always family appropriate in content. It seems to cater more to Midwest Americans than anything else. It is also frustrating for our family and culture that does not endorse meat to have these restaurants serve so many poultry dishes.
The Taj Mahal buffet is so exciting as a vegan! They always include multiple vegan options in it. The staff is always willing to answer questions about ingredients and the food is so good! It’s my favorite place to stuff my face!
The staff here was very accommodating and the food is top notch! My wife and I love Indian food and this was some of the best we've ever had! We had mixed vegetable pakora and aloo pakora (potato) for appetizers. They were able to provide whole wheat naan without butter. And our options for the main course were saag (greens with chickpeas), channa masala (chickpeas & Potato), channa dal (lentils), bindhi masala (okra) and several more! The vegetarian menu had over a dozen items on there and many could be made vegan by leaving out the cream. Very satisfied!!!
Clean, delicious, authentic Indian food in SGF. Owners are Indian, and previous CA restauranteurs. They have an extensive vegetarian section, and can happily recommend dishes that would be easily made vegan...kitchen will also keep butter off of naan if you ask.
Veg Biryani minus yogurt sauce! ! !
Good Indian wine, too, however I haven't checked if it is vegan.

Great food with some vegan options and a decent vegetarian menu. Be prepared to wait. The service is slow, but they do offer a lunch buffet.

don not come here - Edit
Staff not accommodating, did not understand what I meant my no cheese, dairy, or animal by products. Wouldn’t recommend to someone with dietary needs
