Serves meat, vegan options available. Modern Japanese and sushi bar restaurant. Mostly fish and non-veg but does offer several vegetable-based sushi. Ask if uses the same fryer for veg and tempura items. Miso soup is not vegan, but vegans could ask for a vegan version. Bar menu is less expensive than the dinner menu. Open Mon-Sat 5:00pm-11:00pm, Sun 5:00pm-10:00pm.

Organic Mushroom Salad, Zen Roll & Garden Rolls, OH MY!

We usually go to Umami in Ashland, which features $5 avocado peanut rolls. We tried Kobe for a treat. WOW!!! The organic mushroom salad had me immediately scheming to figure out the ingredients so I can recreate it at home. The vegan sushi rolls are delicately put together and delicious. It was busy on a Saturday night; they were mask nazis (it's OR, after all) but we put up with it for the wonderful food. Service ended being fantastic as well.
Definitely the finest, most sophisticated vegan sushi I have encountered to date.

Pros: Organic Mushroom Salad, Zen Roll, Avocado Nigiri

Cons: meat, busy, mask scene
