Chinese name 绿清清素食. Offers vegetarian dishes made with tofu, vegetable, and various mock meats. Several other outlets in Singapore. Open Mon-Sun 7:00am-10:00pm.
Somedays the exact meal I ordered can cost $4 or even $6! Server (old auntie only) is extremely rude and every word customer says is an insult to them. Will never come again!!
The fried rice alone costs $2.50, a side like a small triangular hashbrown costs $1, something arbitrarily deemed more expensive (eg a block of tofu with cucumber and some sweet dressing) costs $1.50. Takeaway for $0.20 and you've got to pony up $5.20. Sure, you get quantity, but definitely not variety.
Their plus is they serve brown rice. They have a huge variety to choose from. They not only have mock meats, but also many times of vegetables. Price is very reasonable
I have only been to this vegetarian eatery once, not because of the food. In fact, it is located just beside Simei MRT station and it is very convenient in terms of location. I find most of the food oily, contains quite a fair bit of mock meat and to my surprise, it is also quite expensive for a neighborhood stall. I will not go back there again.
