Fine dining all vegetarian/vegan friendly - Edit
All vegetarian/ vegan menu (easily changed to vegan once requested from the restaurant).
Read morePresentation was beautiful, food tasted great, was extra special that the chef came out to check on the guests.
It would be a perfect experience if the chairs had cushion to them as we had taken the Zenith 8 course menu, and sitting on wooden hard chairs for 2 hours was quite painful and distracting from the fine dining experience

Il mio preferito in Milano - Edit
Non ho parole per descrivere questa perla. Cibo, vino, atmosfera e servizio semplicemente impeccabile.

Excellent! - Edit
Excellent restaurant. The menu is mostly vegan, some things are vegetarian. The food is excellent, as can be expected - the restaurant has a Michelin star. Lunch menu, the square dish, is 25€ for a tasting of five dishes. Friendly staff.

Beautiful experience - Edit
Chapeau, dear Chef Pietro Leemann, for making vegan dishes a piece of art. I LOVED eating here. I had several dishes and every bite made me rejoice. Seriously, it was much more than food, it was a journey, a beautiful experience. The watermelon carpaccio blew my mind, as it tastes like anything but watermelon... delicious. The “privileged relationship” dish was stunning, with porcini mushrooms served from a smoking pot among herbs (you want to take it home!). Scrumptious! And the cheese? Just wow. If you really want to treat yourself go there. Great staff, Pietro Leemann showed up and he’s very, very nice!

The most fantastic Vegan Restaurant all over the World. - Edit
The most fantastic vegan restaurant in the world, awarded with a Michelin star (unique in Italy). Chef Pietro Leemann leads this small, Buddhist restaurant with grace and infinite creativity. His vegan dishes (but also has vegetarian options) are amazing and I guarantee the result. Magnificent wine list. Top!

Excellent but - Edit
Just one complaint, we came without reservation for lunch, more than half the restaurant was with open seats. They still give us a bit of a hard time to get in. Other people came without reservations after us and they were welcomed in to seat without less than 10 seconds. Not sure what happened. Other than the service, it was an excellent experience.

Go if you can afford - Edit
Over the top service. They even took me to the loo till I told them to stop it. Really good food. I mean really good. I'm over you going to places where I could do a better job. Here sadly I'd get nowhere near. Super high end. Plus wine guy was creepy and had bad suit on. Why? And while I'm on it the wine list was Far too long and ridiculous

No Stars! - Edit
I tried this place twice to make sure I wasn’t mistaken. I was embarrassed for the restaurant. It was like a comedy sketch of pretentious dining.

Pros: The waiters were comical., The food was comical., I can only assume it was all done in irony.
Cons: Food. Wait staff. Decor. Menu. PRICE., Food is described because it's unrecognisable., Being seated out of site because my date’s black.

If you expect a place with big portion you can skip joia.

We had 1 entree , 2 mains , 1 second and 2 desserts.
Almost everything satisfied our taste .
I give 4 stars cause I found the menu with too much wasabi things and the dessert a bit too poor for such a good place.
I will still recommended to anyone would like to try an unique experience.

The right quality for a special occasion - Edit
Beautiful spaces, nice and qualified people who can really make you understand and taste the effort behind every single plate. Every vegan and vegetarian plate is a taste journey (bonus point for the incredible variety of vegetarian local cheeses available). The price is reasonable considering the concept behind this kind of restaurant. Definitely worth to try at least once.

Excellent selections of wine.
Finally a vegetarian restaurant where you can pair a great plate of food, with an outstanding bottle of Château Cheval Blanc :)
Pros: Highest quality of food and service, wines selections, location
Cons: Chef was focusing to much on foam in our menu

Great place for a romantic dinner - Edit
I recently went there for an anniversary dinner with my gf (we had actually planned to go there for some time, after buying the recipe book by the chef and owner Pietro Leeman), and everything went even better than expected. The place is pricey, but you know that beforehand. We chose the "L’Enfasi della Natura" (The Emphasis of Nature) menu http://www.joia.it/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/menu-estate-2017-IT.pdf. The experience was definitely worth it, and I actually got up from my chair feeling full. Most dishes are vegan and gluten-free, with the obvious exception of the cheeses and a few desserts.
Read moreThe service was exquisite but also friendly, and the chef himself showed up for a little chat with every customer (which I appreciated a lot, I don't know how many chefs starring in a Michelin guide do that).
Definitely recommended for a romantic tête-à-tête!
Pros: Very friendly and competent staff, Quiet atmosphere
Cons: Pricey (but you know it!)
