Serves meat, vegan options available. Reported a section of dishes can be veganized - ask your server. Might be a pumpkin bisque, a warm shiitake salad, and for dessert a mango delight and a liliquoi sorbet. Note that kitchen probably has only one fryer tempura. Open Tue-Sat 5:00pm-9:00pm.

For Special Treat - Edit
While their vegan options were not extensive, and as of 2/15/24 there was no special vegan menu or any marks on the regular menu as to the veg/vegan options, our waitress was vegan and was happy to help and make recommendations. It wasn't super loud in there as others have said. We did have a reservation in advance but didn't request somewhere quiet.

It’s just ok - Edit
Only 3 items are on the menu are vegan. The curry, cauliflower, and bisque. The flavor of the curry and cauliflower wasn’t the best, they both could have tasted better.

Delicious and Artfully Presented - Edit
The food here was fantastic. I had the roasted carrot ravioli and a roasted cauliflower and chickpea dish. The portions are not large, so you may want more than one thing, and do expect to drop some cash here. All the dishes are elegantly composed and beautifully presented with unusual edible flowers. Tell your server that you are vegan. The complimentary starter had cheese, but perhaps you could ask for it without. It can be noisy, so make a reservation and ask for a more quiet table.

Lots of vegan / vegetarian options - Edit
It’s hard to find a pure vegan or vegetarian restaurant on the island. I tried postcard but a fail. This one is awesome! Lots of vegan and vegetarian options. I was solo traveling, ordered three dishes all to myself: spring roll, carrot dumpling, and squash spaghetti. They are all very good and finished them all!!!

Must Go! - Edit
Wow what a find!! Thank you to whoever put this place on Happy Cow. Gourmet, flavorful, creative food combinations. An entire section of the menu is vegetarian with vegan dishes clearly labeled.
Read moreYou can’t go wrong with whatever you order. Highly recommend the Poached Carrot Dumpling - taste sensation I’ve never experienced before. The Stir fried Eggplant is equally as amazing though a more traditional, familiar flavor profile. That said, every dish we saw coming out of the kitchen looked amazing.
Recommend calling for a reservation.

Outstanding vegan options - Edit
Really good vegetable choices. In fact, the omnivores at the table thought the veggies were much better than their fish. Curried cauliflower, Curried spaghetti squash, lentil bowl. Don't let the location in the mini-mall deceive you ; this place is legit.

Absolutely incredible vegan options! - Edit
I wish we had found this place sooner on our trip because we definitely would've gone back. I was shocked at how many vegan (or easily veganized) dishes were available, and each and every one was delicious! This is a great place to get dressed up and have a fancy night out (their wine list is really great as well), but you can also come in casually dressed with no issue (we came from the beach). Our waiter knew every single ingredient in every dish and had no problem at all making sure everything was vegan. Don't miss it!

Good food, bad service - Edit
Definitely make a reservation because this place is bust. Also, don't go in hungry because you will be waiting for food for a long timw. We were there for an hour before any food came out. Also be very very very clear with your server that vegan means no diary and eggs. We ordered a quinoa salad without the feta cheese just to have it come out with white stuff that turned out to be creme fresh even though we told the server we were vegan.
Read moreThat being said, the food was really good. Very seasonal and well seasoned. The menu changes all the time so check ahead for options too. We have roasted fennel tikka, jicama tacos, quinoa salad, roasted fennel tikka, cucumber wakame salad, and coconut curry spaghetti squash. All very tasty. Nice ambiance. Pricy.
Pros: Local and seasonal
Cons: Expensive, Over worked servers that make mistakes, Slow service

Excellent upscale dinning - Edit
The food food is not only beautiful but also tastes amazing. There's lot of choices for vegan eating. Stick with the appetizer side of the menu and share several dishes. Best food on Kaui.

nice vegan options - Edit
Several items on menu were vegan or could be made so. E.g. Cauliflower coconut curry, green bean tempura, etc. They bought out an appetizer on the house: homemade taro chips with a cauliflower hummus and tomato bisque.
Read moreThere was one dessert for us, but very unique. A pineapple "soup" with sorbet.
While not a lot of options, what they have is very good. And while the meat entrees seemed pretty expensive, these veg options were very reasonable.

Good Vegan Food Kauai - Edit
JO2 offers a whole section on their menu that can be veganized. It is upscale, California/Fusion style food that is both delicious and beautiful! The chef does an incredible job utilizing local flavors and textures to create an exciting menu. We had the pumpkin bisque, the warm shiitake salad (to die for), the tempura veg and mushroom risotto. The bisque was silky smooth and had a deep flavor; the warm shiitake salad was plentiful and one of the best things I've ever tasted. The tempura was light and the veg he used were fun and interesting. The risotto was veganized, so might've lacked a depth of flavor but my dining partner thought it was delicious and couldn't wait to have the leftovers. There is a small bar area in the front (full bar) and an outside seating area. The wine list is excellent as well. Jean-Marie has done an outstanding job with this restaurant and we will be going back a couple more times before this trip is over. A MUST DO, ON KAUAI!
