The best Thai food I have tasted outside of Thailand - Edit
Sasiwan, the owner speaks reasonable English and is happy to prepare vegan food. This is an authentic experience, often the only other people there are her family and you feel like you're having lunch/dinner with them all.
We went so often during our two-week trip because vegan food is so limited in Japan that in the end we just told her to surprise us rather than ordering off the menu. The food was always incredible. The tom yum soup was amazing.

Pros: Delicious, authentic food, Friendly service, Intimate atmosphere
Cons: Smokers - but this is common in Japan
