Disgusting - Edit
We had a horrible experience at this place, which is oddly well reviewed here and at google.
Read moreIn the beginning, the waiter informed us that there is currently no menu but said they'd had a vegan burger, which we ordered. Additionally, we ordered two drinks.
The burger was the most uninspired burger I ever ate: just bread, a falafel bun, one piece of tomato, a lonely lettuce leaf, and a gigantic piece of a RAW onion. It was accompanied by a handful of fries.
Not only were we still hungry after those very small portions, but we were also charged the crazy amount of 20$ for two burgers and two drinks.
Moreover, the atmosphere was super strange. The place seemed like the local meeting point for elderly US-American alcoholics (they came after we had ordered).

Pros: At least there was a vegan option , Otherwise nothing
Cons: Worst value for money ever , Disgusting food, Bad selection of drinks (only beer and spirits)

Good burger - Edit
Looks like they have reduced their menu. Now, the vegan options are not marked anymore as such but I asked for the burger, it is still vegan :). I ordered it to takeaway as it was very hot in the restaurant and also not really my vibe🙈. Staff was super friendly.
Read moreThe falafel burger and fries tasted really good!! I'm usually not the biggest fan of falafel and even though it was thick patty, I loved it 😍!! The vegan Tzatziki is a dream🤤.
Pros: Friendly service, Yummy vegan burger
Cons: Not many vegan options , Not the fanciest atmosphere

Vegan options in SJDS - Edit
We tried the falafel pita sandwich and the falafel tacos. The prices were reasonable, but the portions were small. We finished the meal and still were feeling hungry. The restaurant is part of a bar. It can get somewhat noisy during the evening so take that into consideration. Perhaps it is better to go during the day to enjoy a more peaceful ambiance. Otherwise the food was very tasty!

Great vegan options in SJDS - Edit
Tons of veg options! Almost all of the not already vegan menu can be made vegan, just ask! Simple dishes but super delicious and reasonably priced. Get the falafel tacos with the vegan tzatki! That tzatki was to die for. Turns into a fun bar at night, too. Out of the vegan brownie a lot so ask ahead of time or go around the corner for vegan deserts at La fuente de chocolate!

Nice one - Edit
The falafel pita was really good (ordered it with extra hummus). We were here during the day, it was empty, but there is not a lot going on in Nica right now. I guess in the evenings there’s probably a lot more going on since it’s also kind of a bar.

Pros: Vegan options clearly marked

fantastic vegan options - Edit
Clearly marked and loads of options for vegans. Starters of hummus, guacamole, falafel pita or tacos or burger with fries and a couple of vegan salads. Delitious and fresh and really filling. They even have a vegan brownie!
