Cafe inside a cultural centre. Large selection of vegetarian food. Chef comes out on request to explain dishes and ingredients used. The evening buffet is vegetarian and costs around DKK 50 per person. Nice interior. Fits individuals and groups. Makes season specials. Reported fully vegetarian December 2016. Open Mon-Fri 15:00-20:00.

Good value - Edit
Good coffee for a fair price (filter coffee from 15 crones). It was a bit difficult to find, at least without speaking Danish. The location in the evening (it seems to change location over the day) is not particularly cozy but more like a restaurant.

Delicious, easy & inexpensive - Edit
Great food and laidback interior. Really great value for money. Inside & outside seating. Menu changes frequently if not every day, but there are always vegan, healthy options!

My favorite place in Aalborg - Edit
Husets Cafe has been a part of an art house, and serving food for years. How much of the food that's vegan differs from time to time. I suggested to the chef to implement more vegan items, and he told me that only a few years ago they were a regular cafe, serving meat, but when noticing their once-a-week vegetarian day were the most popular one, they went vegetarian.
Read moreThe food is hearty and takes you back in time - stews, omelettes, lentil patties, soups with bread. The last time I went, there weren't a lot of vegan options, so the chef made me something special.
I really think this is a nice place to go, and I will continue to come here, and demanding vegan will hopefully have a positive outcome in time.
It's also a nice place to go for a date, or a talk with an old friend to have a cup of coffee or a soda.
If this place was more vegan-friendly, I would give it 5 cows.

Nice Homey Cafe! - Edit
When you come here, walk through the main building, into the courtyard, and the entrance to Husets cafe is on your left. (I had a little trouble finding it.) Once inside, it's a really nice, friendly cafe. It's all you can eat buffet for 75 kroner (about $13). Not everything is vegan, so you have to ask the chef. Still, it was nice comfort food and very friendly english-speaking staff. You can also take free books from the bookshelf!
