The sign went up about a year before the doors opened, and I couldn’t wait- and the pizza does not disappoint. The deep dish is GOOD and you’ll love it.

Super friendly and welcoming! My husband and I ate at Hot Tongue on Tuesday and we almost left when we saw the menu contained mostly but based cheeses. In my typical “explain too much” self I felt the need to tell the guy we were only leaving because of the nuts. But then he offered a nut free option.

I’ve lived in Silverlake for a few months but only just discovering Hot Tongue now - I ordered the Sicilian (how many places in LA serve a vegan Sicilian style pizza??) and it’s amazing. Great nostalgia trip for me because it reminds me of an Italian place back home that makes this style of pizza, which I can unfortunately no longer have since going vegan. This is way better though - great dough, toppings, and flavor. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!

They have a wide array of pizzas, many of which are available by the slice. Very tasty! They also have delicious buffalo cauliflower, kale salad, etc. The owner is a vegan who loves making good food for appreciative customers.

It was so exciting to find an all vegan pizza place near where we were, especially one that has pizza by the slice! We tried the Pesto, Sicilian, Buffalo, an order of garlic knots and were blown away by the flavors. The only thing that wasn't perfect (what is perfect really though?) is that the Buffalo was slightly dry or could have used some more sauce. Other than that one tiny thing, it was all chef's kiss ^.^

Pizza by the slice. I had the Supreme. So good. A little salty and oily. They have thick crust as well. The best part... they make their own cheese. Cashew cheese and almond cheese.

I love Hot Tongue! Housemade cheeses, tons of toppings, great crust, cool interior. I’m really picky about vegan cheese so I appreciate that they make their own and that it’s delicious. This is ny go-to pizza spot now.

I dig the aesthetic and options at Hot Tongue, and they don’t cheap out on the toppings and creativeness behind each one. However, it’s a little on the dry side and simply not the best vegan pizza I’ve had in LA. Still worth checking out and grabbing a quick bite in this part of town.

I haven't had a deep dish pizza since going vegan. I thought they didn't exist, but Hot Tongue does a Sicilian and Detroit Deep dish. They are on point, couldn't ask for anything better. Just go!!

I’ve never had pizza anywhere near as good as Hot Tongue. Besides full pies they also sell by the slice. So far I’ve tried the garlic knots, margherita, and Sicilian. Each consistently incredible.
There’s a great super convenient little parking lot right out front. The staff has been completely rad too. Shoutout to Michael.
I can’t wait to eat my way through their menu.
