Excellent vegan pasta option - Edit
Honestly a really great vegan meal - I got the Spicy Miso & Mushroom Rigatoni and it was 10/10 couldn’t fault it. Lots of different mushrooms, tasty pasta, crispy onions, all fried in a vegan gochujang butter. They had 1 other vegan option (tempura cauliflower tacos), a veggie option, and a vegan dessert. My main fault would be they charge €1 for alt milk!!! You could nearly buy a carton yourself for that price!!

Unreal - Edit
Edit april 2025: rather than two awesome vegan options they now just have 1 - Tempura cauliflower tacos. The cauliflower is simply way too big and just ends up tasting more like a falafel texture. I'm also not 100% trusting of their assessment as both partner and I had upset stomachs after it. Sucks, because they had great options before. 2 stars saved by the desert still being class.
Read moreThey have two vegan options, below, for mains and both are some of the nicest food ive ever had. Worth travelling for 100%
Vegan Wild Mushroom Toast €15.95
Wild mushrooms panfried in a plant based gochujang butter on toasted sourdough, sautéed spinach,
cashew cream drizzle, signature Hooked pesto, Cnoic Glas spicy raddish micro greens
Vegan Tempura Cauliflower Wings €15.95
Tempura cauliflower wings tossed in Hooked signature Bang Bang peanut sauce topped with cashew
drizzle, White Mausu peanut rayu, scallions served with fries
They also have a strawberry icecream and chocolate cheesecake dessert which is absolutely delicious.

Loved it - Edit
We had the tempura cauliflower wings with bang bang sauce and the wild mushroom pesto toast for Sunday brunch. Both were so tasty and filling, and the place was lovely. Some of the best vegan food we've had in Sligo. It was a great experience.
Read moreThe last time we were there was a few years ago and the vegan options were OK but a bit underwhelming and not very substantial. They've really improved, which is wonderful at a time when many restaurants and cafes we used to visit a lot seem to have drastically reduced the number and quality of their vegan options.

Amazing food - Edit
Hooked has 3 vegan main options and one dessert option and we ordered all of them. The wings were amazing, the peanut sauce was quite different for what you usually get on cauliflower wings so it was a nice change. The other 2 mains were nice as well. The dessert was lovely too, would definitely recommend here for dinner. It is owned by the same person as Eala Bhan but a good bit cheaper!

Sunday breakfast - Edit
Even if there was only 1 option for breakfast, the Wild Mushroom Toast had my omni friends all wanting a taste. Beautiful presentation, toasted slab of sourdough, spinach, mushroom, drizzled with cashew cream and (gorgeous) pesto. [just describing it again wants to make me drive the 2 hours back to Sligo & order it again]. Also on offer are plant based milks to accompany your cupán tae. Can’t wait to return to try their dinner options (3 choices).
Read morePros: Delicious food, Locally sourced , Funky decor and great location
Cons: Wish they had at least 1 more breakfast choice
