It is totally worth going up the hill. The food here tastes out of this world. Really good price also.

Great food and place - Edit
We had bahn bao, vegan fried 'fish' and tofu with mushrooms. Everything was really good, and especially the mock 'fish' was really interesting - tasked like smoked mackerel.
Read moreNotably, there are no veggies on the side (as depicted on the menu), so order a salad separately if you want some greens.
Pros: Sweet owner, Great food, Very cheap

Amazing! - Edit
Cute little restaurant in the lady’s home. She doesn’t speak English however her son translated for us. I ordered the Phở and it was amazing, my bff ordered the Bahn mi and she rated it 👍🏻 Also offers western food like pizza, chips, etc.

accidentally found ourselves in this restaurant cause the one we intended to go to was closed, so happy we found it! We ordered the hot pot which was massive and delicious and also got some free bananas for dessert!

So worth going up the hill - Edit
The household atmosphere was strong, coming from the chilling sunny weather, welcoming dogs in the neighborhood, the family members from adults to children of the restaurant. The noodles was absolutely amazing!!! With pineapple juice in the broth. Rice with sapa stirfried vegs and stuffed king oyster mushrooms were soooo great too!!!

Recommend! - Edit
We went there 3 times and every time we tried something else.
Read moreFor me, the Hotpot was decent (maaany greens and enoki mushrooms, noodles were not so good but tofu was nice)
The nori-wrapped tofu and fried springrolls were delicious!
Both the fried rice with vegetables (it comes with coriander) and white rice were tasty. The meat suprised us, looks different than in the picture but was really good. The fried noodles with vegetables were okay.😄
The owner also gave us some pomelo at the end and some kind of rice-pudding/jelly.
The family is so friendly and the kids are lovely. Highly recommend!
Pros: Affordable, Nice atmosphere
Cons: Was a bit cold

Delicious food and lovely ladies that took care of us! - Edit
So glad we walked 20 minutes here to experience the delicious food and hospitality of the lovely ladies.
Read moreThe noodle soup had so much flavor with a hint of chili. We also ordered some rolls which were mushroom wrapped in nori and fried.
Seemed like a family run place and the second lady (maybe the daughter) spoke great English. We ordered a couple of banh mi for our long bus ride. Glad we gave this place our business over the tourist traps!

Nice traditional Vietnamese food and great value. A bit further out of Sa Pa than other restaurants but definitely worth the short walk.

A must for every vegan in Sapa - Edit
The lovely owner serves very delicious food in her living room. We were there twice, although if we had had our accommodation directly in sapa, we would certainly have been there even more often.
Read moreThe lady herself speaks little English, but thanks to Google translator and gestures that is no problem at all. For our upcoming bus trip, she packed us a seperate portion in our lunch box. We would come back anytime and are already sad that we travel further and could not yet try everything.
Pros: Ambiance, Great food, Cheap

Lovely family run restaurant with really nice food, definitely worth the walk to get there. Better variety than in most restaurants offering vegan food in Northern Vietnam. Very nice crispy "pork". Note - closes early in the evening at 19:30.

Delicious vegan (chay) restaurant - Edit
Delicious vegan food (which is pretty hard to find in Sa Pa!) Everything chay, some different dishes on the menu like savory soy bean cake. Well priced. Lovely family. High recommendation!

We tried 2 different soups which had completely different taste. But both were so delicious. We also ordered fried betel leafs and stewed vegetarian meat galangal and both was amazing 😍 unfortunately we are in sapa only 1 day so we can't come tomorrow to try sth else also 😅

Taste is amazing - Edit
Amazing taste, Taste is not typical vietnamese so foreigners will like the food. I have been to other restaurants but this one is my fav. I went there back to back because of the taste.

Best "restaurant" - Edit
It is really just the living room of a couple with 8 seats for guests (the last time we went there they already had place for 16 people, so upgrade). It is just so funny, the woman is really nice and food was very good. We went there everyday for 4 days.

Hidden find - Edit
Tasty food at reasonable prices and generous, but not too big, servings.
Read moreWe enjoyed the mushrooms wrapped in betel leaves (fried), tofu with shiitake mushrooms, stir fried vegetables.
Almost zero English was spoken, but we had no issues communicating as there is a very clear multi-lingual menu book.
The restaurant looks like an ordinary house (which it is), so can be hard to find. Fortunately, Google maps gives the correct address and location and the house number (77) is out the front. Google maps gave two routes to get there, one is a good road, one is just a path towards the end (but still gets there).
Pros: Varied menu., Friendly atmosphere.
Cons: Drinks limited to beer or coke.

Amazing little restaurant - Edit
We found this place over happycow. We nearly did not find it because it is very hidden and seems more like a normal house than a restaurant. Once you’re in, the owner, a very nice Vietnamese lady, welcomes you and makes sure you feel welcome. The food is delicious (only a bit oily, maybe), but prices are reasonable and you get the feeling to be really far away from any touristic places in SaPa. We can really recommend this!! Make sure you arrive hungry because portions are big!

We were in love with the food and the lovely woman who runs the place. The food was delicious and very fresh - she got the vegetables from her garden.
