Serves meat, vegan options available. Just off the main street is a small family-owned restaurant that offers, on one side of the menu, the vegetarian and vegan choices, and displays the "vegan" logo. This section of the menu lists many choices, including traditional Indian and Nepalese dishes. The veggie momos are vegan, and several of the other appetizers are, as well. They also have nightly specials. The food is served in a traditional way with jasmine/basmati rice. Entrees without the vegan demarkation can be made vegan. Let them know your dietary preferences as rice pudding containing dairy is given out with many entrees but will be substituted for pineapple for vegans. The servers are helpful, and the kitchen will accommodate special dietary requests whenever possible. It is a small restaurant, in a very busy international tourist area. Open Mon-Sat 11:00am-10:00pm.

Good but ask for no kheer - Edit
Really good Himalayan cuisine with a lot of labeled vegan options. Allows subbing coconut milk for cream in most dishes. Unfortunately, I was served kheer which had dairy in it. The naan also has dairy but they allowed us to sub papadams.

Pretty good vegan options - Edit
I'd give this place 3.5/5. The food was pretty good. For the starters, I got the fried tofu and pappadam. Both good. For entrees, I got the aaloo Gobi (mild) and chana masala (medium-spicy). The aaloo Gobi was really tasty and a perfect level of spiciness for me. Would definitely order again. Buuut okay listen, y'all. The medium-spicy chana masala felt like an 8.5/10 spicy level. It was tasty but almost unbearably spicy. I recommend people with average-high spicy tolerance, like myself, to keep that in mind.
Read moreThe service here wasn't great, and they served me kheer instead of subbing it for a vegan alternative like I requested. They seemed understaffed. Room for improvement, but I appreciate the extensive vegan options.
Pros: Many vegan options
Cons: Spicy!! , Poor service

Went there with my omni family and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. For the vegan dishes, the Chana Masala, Aaloo Gobi, and Pappadam were all phenomenal!

Clear Vegan marked options - Edit
We were surprised to find a place that had many vegan marked options on the menu, in such a small town. The waitress knew exactly what would work. The dishes were satisfying and tasty.

Solid food with lots of options - Edit
Despite other reviews, we did not find that the vegan options were limited (almost half the menu could be made vegan with substitutes described on the menu and which our waiter was very knowledgeable about). Vegan as-is options were also clearly labeled. Service was slow, but friendly. Our food (pappadam, tofu vindaloo, & tofu tikka masala) was good and we found a medium spice level was spicy but not too spicy. The tikka was our favorite.

Disappointing - Edit
We came to have an early dinner and unfortunately there were lots of things that weren’t great about this place. We were first offered seating in the back room, I’m not sure if the air con was out but it was unbearable so we asked to be moved. We started with popadums which were as expected but the two sauces that came with it, tasted like they were heavily watered down. We then ordered a veggie Nepali curry and a tofu tikka masala with coconut milk instead of cream both with a spice level of hot. We are used to eating spicy food and like it on the hot side, but I’d say the hot is VERY spicy. A family who were sat next to us ordered a medium spicy curry and it was blowing their brains out. So my advise is to go at least one level down in spice from your usual. Also, this can be somewhat common in Indian dishes, but just so you know the tofu tikka masala is literally that. Tofu in sauce. So don’t be surprised if there no sign of vegetables whatsoever. The other thing was the rice was not cooked at all, how can you get that wrong? Well they did. The family next to us were such a positive bunch that they said the rice was al dente. I heard one of the waitress complaining to her colleagues saying the rice wasn’t cooked again and the kitchen staff are always messing something up. I complained about the rice, she apologies but went on the charge is full price. Not great service. It was slow and we were not compensated for the very undercooked rice.

Not Recommended - Edit
Only two main dishes were marked as vegan. I got the aloo gobi and it was quite bland. The waitress replaced the rice pudding with a green dip that I have gotten at other Indian restaurants but nothing to dip it in. Also, the naan is not vegan and I didn’t get a replacement for that. The portions are also quite small.

If I could give this 5 stars, I would! - Edit
Wow! The rave reviews of this place are well earned. It has everything- atmosphere, fantastic food, local beer, and knowledgeable servers. The extensive menu explicitly marks vegan and gluten-free options, and my server knew what veganism was and replaced a dairy side with a side of lentil crackers. The food was excellent- the spices were spot on, many south Asian places either spice overwhelmingly or go bland, but this place has their taste right on the money. Easily the best restaurant in Estes Park- even my omni family agrees! I fully recommend any vegan to dine here at least once during their stay in the Rockies.

Lots of vegan options, Food OK - Edit
Was staying is Estes Park for the weekend so I decided to check this place out. The staff was very helpful at letting me know what was vegan and what wasn't - and you have the option of substitute coconut milk and tofu in most of the curries to make it vegan.
Read moreBut be aware - the Naan is NOT vegan. I was excited to go here based on the fact that on this page it says that the Naan can be prepared vegan. But I was told that it couldn't be.
I thought the food was okay. Hit the spot of Indian food, but I've had better. I really liked how tofu was an option here, but I would probably add veggies next time. I got the Tofu Tikka Masala with coconut milk, but it was just tofu in the sauce. I guess I'm just used to veggies!
Pros: Tons of vegan options, Has tofu as a protien , Good prices - dishes come with rice
Cons: No vegan naan, Taste just ok

Pleasantly Surprised! - Edit
This little restaurant was close to where my dad works downtown in Estes Park, so while I was on vacation with them we checked out their menu and opted to have dinner there. We were not sorry! I'm the only vegan in the family, but there were some excellent vegan options for both appetizers (the yummy momos) and main dishes. The wait staff were very helpful in making my order completely vegan. The food was excellent, and the portions were not too large, and served in a traditional way with rice and nan, which I totally appreciate! If you're a vegan or vegetarian visiting Estes Park, I would recommend this restaurant 100%! The small café has some outdoor seating, and limited indoor seating, and they serve beer on tap, and wine.
