No longer a restaurant - Edit
Although they still take reservations and request 24 hour prior confirmation, they are no longer a restaurant. There are a few places with vegan options nearby.

Tasty Mexican Food - Edit
Has a wide variety of Mexican vegan food that’s otherwise often hard to find. Besides the mole everything else also gets a thumbs up.

Had the Mushroom Tacos and they were very good. Definitely want to come back to try the 7 moles de Oaxaca for 2. Attentive service.

Muy rico - Edit
El lugar está muy bonito y los platillos son espectaculares, los sabores son muy típicos del sur de mexico, como mexicana y ex carnista les aseguro que no tiene nada que envidiarle a los platillos con animales muertos. #Veganuary

Awesome Menu - Edit
This beautiful restaurant has a very creative menu and the best chocolate de leche I’ve ever had. Everything I’ve tried here from the potato tacos to the moles to the dessert is top notch. I could eat here everyday and try something new.

Good Food & Cute place - Edit
Food was good, but not spectacular. I want to go back and try more things, but overall the vibe and place is cute. The food was decently priced for what you get and I ate every last bit. The presentation is amazing.

Good food - Edit
The place looks really nice, the staff is very friendly but it is quite pricey and very small portions. The food tastes good but I expected more by the reviews I’ve read.

Best food I’ve had in Mexico - Edit
It’s for sure a little pricier than anywhere else I’ve eaten, and the portions aren’t very big so I needed to order two dishes to feel full (but this did mean I got to try more amazing food). However, if you want a really special vegan meal then I don’t think you should miss this place. The almond mole was absolutely delicious. By far the best meal I’ve eaten in Mexico (in 5 weeks of being here). I would come back at literally any excuse.

Excellent food in a lovely space - Edit
Hierba Dulce is an instant favorite. A slow-food restaurant servicing freshly made Oaxacan delicacies, all plant-based, with emphasis on local ingredients.
Read moreThe enmoladas are exquisite. The mushroom
pibil tacos are tasty. And the “stew” is surprisingly delicious and unique. Don’t miss the almond-milk horchata.
The ambience is very pleasant, with both an elegant indoor dining room and a charming courtyard. Service is warm and helpful, and both Spanish and English are spoken.
After trying most of the vegan places in town, Hierba Dulce is our fave for traditional Oaxacan cuisine, and a favorite overall.
Highly recommended. Enjoy!

Authentic de-industrialized cuisine - Edit
I specially loved Falso Papadzul a Yucatan dish with a creamy pumpkin seeds sauce it was delicious and Sopa de guías a very traditional simple and comfy Oaxacan soup. If you love chocolate you can't miss their mousse. They also have an interesting cocktail menu but I didn't try any. Is the best WFPB I ever had (so far) they really understand how to handle each herb. The only restaurant in Oaxaca I visited twice and I want to go again because they have so much to offer.

Awesome food, cocktail & service! - Edit
We had the tropical cocktail (sweet but oh so good) and the Oaxaqueño (awesome). We had the Sikil P´aak as an entree - very good but so spicy. We then had the almond mole (a tad spicy) and the tlayuda. The mole was to die for. The tlayuda was nothing special but I think that’s just how the dish is lol. The food, ambiance, drinks and service was amazing.
