Good vegan junk food: Nachos, wings, sliders, and tacos. - Edit
This place is a stall in a food hall with other non vegan places. The people are very nice and there’s plenty of variety on the menu. I way over ordered. Lol. I ordered the wings, the nachos, and three sliders. The wings are fried trumpet mushrooms. They are very very good. Everything was good.

Tasty but expect most things will be out - Edit
I got the fried oysters mushrooms, greens which they replaced with a soup, yams, mac, and peach cobbler. The oyster mushies, mac. and soup were fantastic and the other stuff was too sweet for me. However, the wait time was very long, and they had to replace items for me. While waiting they removed almost half of the menu, so don't go if there's only one item you're interested in

A Million Stars - Edit
I wish I could give this spot more than 5 stars!! Holy (happy) cow. Please note that they are currently at 3715 Madison Ave now, NOT near Findlay Market anymore and have temporary weekend hours only for now! (Happy Cow hasn’t updated this yet.)
Read moreWe got the oyster wings, buff mac n cheese, PEACH COBBLERRR, and shrimp tacos. Everything was AMAZING!!!!! I cannot emphasize this enough. The owner is such a gem of a human and has really good energy. Unfortunately I was only traveling through Cincinnati, but I wish I could come here every week!! The flavors of everything were so on point, I haven’t had grub quite this good in a long time. HIGHLY recommend stopping in. My boyfriend and I just kept looking at each other during our meal and saying “oh my god this is sooo good” with those wide eyes you get when you can’t believe something can really be that good

Comfort food! Amazing Mac! - Edit
I saw that there is a new spot in Oakley Kitchen food hall and wanted to finally try it! Had the cauliflower wings with the Nashville hot and ranch sauces (both vegan) and the buffalo Mac and cheese. It was all savory. Highly recommend it, place is 100% vegan.
Read moreThere was about a 15 minute wait after placing the order (which was totally fine! Just be aware if they are slammed it may take a bit).

Disappointed - Edit
My boyfriend went in really trying to find something to eat because he follows a very specific diet and way of eating. He ultimately decided on a menu item that was charged as if you're getting a dinner sized portion of pasta or something of that size. Quality and pricing needs work.

DONT EAT HERE!! - Edit
This was the worst food we have ever eaten. I found hair in the Mac and cheese, the sweet potatoes tasted like there could’ve been some type of ammonia cleaner in them. We ordered $100 worth of food and most of it was inedible. We’re not picky eaters and have a high tolerance for imperfect food. To reiterate, this was inedible. The pictures don’t even remotely resemble their actual food, as well. I’m not sure how this restaurant is still in business.

Great food and service - Edit
My husband and I got the Southern platter and loved it. Possibly the most convincing vegan chicken I’ve had in my 9 years being vegan. Staff were really nice.

Delicious food, friendly service - Edit
I can’t say enough good things about the great people at Herban Vegans. The food reminds me of the delicious Louisiana fare I experienced when I lived in New Orleans.

Delicious vegan near Findlay Market - Edit
Huge menu with lots of comfort food items. I would have liked to see more fresh ingredients, as most were made with some sort of faux meat, but what we did eat was delicious! Those chik’n nachos 😍

Nightmare on Elm St. - Edit
I was in the area for a soccer tournament so I ordered a meal online to pick up after the game. The app gave me choices of pickup times that, unbeknownst to me were after the restaurant closed. I chose pickup for 7:10 pm, the closest time to 7, which was the time I wanted. It was a Saturday. After driving more than 20 minutes to get downtown, I show up as a worker was putting up the outside tables. He told me they were closed, that they sold out all the food, and had canceled and refunded my purchase. Yes, you heard that right. They sold the food I ordered at 4:30 that afternoon to someone else and never even tried to contact me to tell me that my order had been canceled. I had no notification through their app or anything! The whole thing was a waste of time. Thankfully, Essen kitchen was open nearby. But it’s not easy being vegan in a new city. To have a vegan meal that I planned and purchased for a hungry vegan soccer player unceremoniously canceled with no warning was truly a nightmare.

Quick fix at the right time - Edit
Stumbled across this new establishment while at A gig near the Findlay Market. Had the Philly Sliders with the sweet potato fries, along with the cauliflower wings w/ bang bang sauce. All the above was great. The mac and cheese was ok, had to settle for that because the cabbage was unavailable.

Best Vegan Soul Food - Edit
We ordered a variety of dishes for a luncheon and they were loved by vegans and non-vegans alike. Awesome soul food. Best chickn sandwich I’ve had since becoming vegan. (Monroe Chickn) The owner was so passionate and friendly. Everyone should try this late!!! #Veganuary

Nice People, Mediocre Food - Edit
I wanted to like this place more than I did. I hadn't eaten all day, and after a busy day including exercise, I was ravenous. The menu sounded incredible, and I wanted to order everything on it. The staff was friendly, and I had an enjoyable exchange with the cashier. I ordered the chowdah, and the southern platter. My companion ordered the seafood platter. We were given an estimated time of 15-20 minutes, and ended up waiting for an hour, causing us to be late for an appointment. We didn't mind because we figured the food would be worth it, and great food takes time to prepare. This was not great food though. The chowdah smelled and tasted rancid, I only took two bites before tossing it, and my companion agreed it was bad. I did enjoy the greens and miracle mac, and the crispy chicken wasn't bad. They were out of maple yams, so they swapped in the BBQ sweet potato fries instead. They were overcooked and not great, but still edible. My companion's order was very greasy, everything was deep-fried, not what we imagined when ordering it, as the menu says nothing about it being so greasy and fried. It made her stomach hurt from all the grease.
Read moreMaybe this wasn't the usual for this place, but we won't be returning. The price was high as well, $47 for everything before tip. I know vegan food at restaurants is expensive, and I'm happy to pay for high quality but this is not worth the price in my opinion.
Pros: Friendly and Helpful Staff
Cons: Overpriced, Incorrect Wait Time Estimate, Mediocre and Greasy Food

Great vegan fysh - Edit
Stopped in on my way through town and tried the platter which seemed to have a bit of all the seafood. The fish was phenomenal. I love banana blossoms as a fish alternative. The slaw was delicious too, creamy and crunchy. The one thing that could improve are the sweet potato fried. The order I had were very dark and not thoroughly cooked.
