Very good.

I have been here a few times over the years, and though the service can be slow, the food has always been hot and delicious. The ramen with dumplings is wonderful.

Pros: Plenty of vegan options

Cons: Expensive

Not bad

Was looking for a vegan spot to grab dinner omw through Cincinnati (driving from Asheville, NC to Chicago) and was hoping for Loving Hut, as listed on Happy Cow, but when I arrived, I discovered that it had shut down, so I looked for a place with options nearby, since I'd already driven out of the way for defunct L.H. Found Stone Bowl with one review and took ordering advice from that fellow H.C. member. Got vegan ramen with mushrooms and the brussels sea weed salad. Told the server I spoke with on the phone that I needed it to be vegan, so no egg and he said 'well, you'll want the green tea noodles then, because the normal ones are egg noodles" so that's what I got. Dumb of me to get crazy boiling hot liquids to go in plastic, but the soup was pretty good overall. I liked the noodles, even through they were thin and kind of chewy. Decent amount of marinated white button mushrooms as the main "protein" and small amounts of mung bean sprout, grated carrot and tiny bit of scallion. Broth ok, but not much flavor, although the mushrooms helped with that because they were very flavorful (mainly just salty) I had a thai peanut primal strip, so I tore that up and added it for more protein and flavor. The Brussels seaweed salad was a disappointment. It was just like a seaweed salad you get at a Japanese joint, but plopped a top maybe 5-8 very small cabbage pieces and literally two single brussels sprouts leaves, one tiny sliver of maybe a dino green and one tiny chunk of kale stem. Says on the menu that they use local greens for this "salad' when available. Pricey for something sub par, but really it was fine for a shot in the dark. I liked the ambiance and their patio was nice, so if one was to dine in it may be a better experience.

Pros: a few vegan options, fast take out service, nice patio

Cons: only a few vegan options, weak salad

Dear RavenousRabbit,
We appreciate your kind review!

For Vegan Ramen take-out,
I am afraid if you had sauces offered. All house ramen dishes are completed by adding sauces on your table by yourself. FYI, the broth has lesser flavor because of no MSGs. & much lesser gluten.
For vegan noodles, it depends on suppliers' stock. I'll try more to get vegan noodles. (if the suppliers are not reliable, I will make my own one like many other sauces.)

For the Salad,
If it were that poor, the cook didn't follow the recipe. Please, take my apology! Just bought & tested a processor for cooks to keep the current salad. Also, I'm developing crunch ramen salad with options for vegan & others. Hope you to try a better one on your next stop!

Thank you! Happy New Year!

Great food, lacking service

I’ve been here a few times now and let’s just say the food is what I come for - not the service. The seaweed salad and vegan dumplings appetizer are both delicious. I’ve tried all of the vegan versions of the entrees: the stone bowl, ramen, and tofu teriyaki noodles. All are good, and the stone bowl is probably my favorite. Service is usually slow, and my first time here they tried to serve me a stone bowl with an egg on top even though I asked for no egg for the vegan version. If you have patience, I would recommend checking this place out!

Pros: vegan options for every course

Cons: service is lacking

We appreciate your review & apologize for the poor service.

Unfortunately, we had hard time to find good servers till June, 2018.
Nice servers with good personality are waiting for you, now ;-)
