There aren't many independent vegan-friendly Japanese restaurants in Watford. I came across this during a walk, and I was surprised that I kept walking past this place despite being somewhat frequent to the area. Having checked the menu I was surprised at the options labelled with a (V). I went in to speak to a staff member and I was told each item with that label can be made to suit vegans. I was also told they prepare and cook all of their vegan items separately to all the meat and fish products which was great to know.
Read moreI decided to dine a few weeks later with some friends and this place definitely delivered. One of my friends is Japanese who said he'd previously been to this place and always loved it. Once we vegans ordered, I totally saw where he came from. The flavours and seasonings were incredible and this is one place you MUST try if you're in Watford!
Pros: Fantastic and friendly service, Incredible taste
Cons: Not the cheapest, but it's worth it
