We were so pleased to find this place- they have a vegan menu that had about 6 options to choose from, like fajitas, tacos, burritos, and sautéed veggies. It all comes with a lentil soup, rice, and beans. I commented how I could live off those rice and beans! I got the veggies tacos, which were very tasty. My partner got the veggie burrito, and the red sauce that comes on top of it was pretty spicy for me when I tried it (but I’m not very tough when it comes to spicy food). It was a lovely interior space and the server was very nice. I loved how they had the word “lard” which a cross out over it- they seem more dedicated to healthy food than other mexican places seem to be. I am very happy that we ate lunch there! We were very full by the end of our meal!

i am SO glad i found this place- being vegan on a spring break road trip, it’s been a pretty steady french fry diet😒but Habanero’s actually has a bunch of totally vegan, not just vegetarian, full-on meals!! i had the veggie fajitas and it was literally one of the best vegan lunches i have had ever. not even joking, this is like my holy grail meal- super filling, well cooked, tasty veggies. service is amazing as well, and there’s cute outdoor seating available😄i highly highly recommend Habanero’s Fresh Mex.

Been coming to this place for two and a half years. Several vegan options including fajitas, tacos, a veggie plate, enchilades, a burrito, anod potatoe tacos. Potatoe tacos are quite good. Welcome soup is cute, and yummy. Great beer too! I definitely recommend habanero’s if you enjoy mexican food. Staff is great, very friendly.

This charming little spot has a menu of vegan items to choose from. Inexpensive, big servings, healthy cooking (no lard), and loaded with flavor! I’ll be eating here again!

New Vegan Menu - Edit
Healthy mexican food is very hard to find, but Habaneros is changing that. They've always had vegetarian options, and now a New Vegan Menu! Portions are big and they include a welcome soup. Great place near downtown.
