Vegan menu - Edit
Food was tasty and they have a dedicated “vegan menu”. I tried the vegetable enchiladas. The tortillas are great they taste homemade. Enchilada sauce is a little spicy and it would be nice if they had guacamole. Overall good especially for the area!

Delicious veggie fajitas and veggie burrito after a very long drive from Texas. Fresh grilled veggies were perfect. And the server brought us cups of lentil soup on the house!

Read moreGood parking, great atmosphere, good/reasonably quick service- I got both the veggie burrito and enchilada. This was a good place to go for both vegans and non-vegans. (My non-vegan friends really enjoyed their food). To keep it simple, they did a lot with less. Great spices and sauces. They used all basic ingredients and it tasted great for a decent price in my opinion. Love it, I don’t know how others stack up but I would say it’s very good, borderline excellent due to variety I would say. If you ever go to hawaii- visit Gordos for vegan food, if this place had what they had too- chef’s kiss! Hope you get the chance to enjoy🙏

Impressive vegan options! - Edit
Chef Alfredo himself took our orders! We had the vegan potato tacos, after reading the reviews, and the complimentary vegan lentil soup. Such a pleasure to see the vegan options so prominently displayed on the digital menu. Chef Alfredo was very warm and welcoming. Really enjoyed the lentil soup.

We had the potato taco plate and the enchilada plate. Both were delicious but the tacos won. Had we been in town a little longer we would have gone back for more! The vegan welcome soup, a lentil soup, was a big bonus.

Really yummy! The employee was super nice and attentive with the vegan options. The enchilada was filled with various veggies and potatoes. The burrito option was very similar but filled with rice as well.

The food was excellent! They offer both, Vegetarian and Vegan options.

Veggies were good, still some bite not mushy as is so often the case.
The sauce (green) was spicy and flavorful. they also serve a cup off soup which is complementary, service was prompt and friendly.
Will definitely go back next time I am in town!

After a 12 hour drive I was pleased to find a restaurant with more than one or two vegan options. The employees were very friendly and helped me decide what to order. I got a veggie burrito which also came with beans, rice and a lentil soup. All of it was delicious and very filling.

This was a great little find. They have a dedicated vegan menu, which was wonderful. I decided to try the veggie tacos, which had a lot of flavor and were delicious!! They came with beans, rice, and lentil soup.
Read moreYou order at the counter and a server brings your meal to you when it is ready. There is an outdoor patio, which was lovely to enjoy the sunny day!! They also have indoor seating.
This restaurant does impose a 3% surcharge if you pay with anything other than cash, so come prepared if you don't want to pay extra!!

We are passing through and we’re able to find vegan options in a separate vegan menu. Kudo! I had the enchilada with red sauce and it was delicious. The rice and beans are also deliciously vegan. The red sauce seems to be made in house or locally. We were given a cup of lentil soup first and it was also delicious. Hubby had a vegan burrito. The filling of the enchilada and burrito are vegetables and a bit of potatoes.

We love Fresh Mex food and searched for one last fix before we left Las Cruces. What a find Habaneros Fresh Mex is.
Read moreWe couldn’t tell from the name if it was a chain, but once inside it all became clear this is a locally owned place where they care about their food and their customers.
Not only does Habaneros Fresh Mex have a dedicated menu panel for vegans, everything is gluten-free. The vegan veggie enchiladas were filled with grilled vegetables covered with gluten-free red chili sauce. For the vegetarian in the family the spinach-artichoke enchiladas were covered in green chili sauce and melted cheese and was accompanied by a side salad and choice of dressing. We recommend the Pepita.
We will definitely veer off the Interstate again to eat here the next time we’re passing through Las Cruces.

We were so pleased to find this place- they have a vegan menu that had about 6 options to choose from, like fajitas, tacos, burritos, and sautéed veggies. It all comes with a lentil soup, rice, and beans. I commented how I could live off those rice and beans! I got the veggies tacos, which were very tasty. My partner got the veggie burrito, and the red sauce that comes on top of it was pretty spicy for me when I tried it (but I’m not very tough when it comes to spicy food). It was a lovely interior space and the server was very nice. I loved how they had the word “lard” which a cross out over it- they seem more dedicated to healthy food than other mexican places seem to be. I am very happy that we ate lunch there! We were very full by the end of our meal!
