Why Replace Beyond?

They have replaced the excellent vegan Beyond patties with non-vegan Impossible burger patties.

The few vegan options are not good.

On top of this, they make it easy to order a "plant based burger " with eg regular cheese or bacon and I know some who have been fooled.

Find a better place, as vegans are clearly not a priority of this chain.

Average

There are a few vegan options. There is a section of Beyond Burger options but only 2 out of the 4 can be made vegan. Oddly one of the Beyond Burger options contains bacon. Overpriced for what you get. I also don’t see the need for chips to come in a disposable carton when they could simply be placed directly on the plate.

Overpriced

Has vegan options which taste good but is quite over priced for the small burgers and does not fill you up. The place is very meat based and focuses on free range and health which is a bit frustrating.

Clearly marked vegan options

Update: new vegan cheeseburger. Be careful, the new hemp avo burger is NOT vegan due to tzatziki... their advertising has been SO misleading.

One of the few clearly marked vegan options in this shopping centre. Staff understand what vegan is and explain what items are and aren't. The tomato relish dip is vegan - they have vegan mayo now you can ask for as a dip. This is a good brunch option for vegans in Bayside and good chain restaurant option to take non-vegan friends who complain about your veganism (ugh, the worst). 3 stars because the vegan burger and all chips (reg, sweet potato, zucchini and avocado) are super great but they serve meat and dairy, and they could do a llloootttt better vegan-wise

Pros: some vegan options, lots of seating, affordable

Cons: nowhere near being fully vegan

the one vegan burger is passable

It's kind of tasty and seemingly pretty healthy. The regular chips are the highlight though, the sweet potato ones are so so

It's okay

They have a vegan burger which is handy because there's legit not much else at Southland. They staff are friendly and you can order it in advance online if you're in a hurry.

Pros: They have a vegan burger
