I stop in here sometimes when in the area. They let you build your own salad or opt for one of their set options. They separate their non vegan items somewhat, so cross contamination is minimal. Salad are served in large metal bowls and are usual very large. Most of their dressings are also vegan. I like their peanut one. They have a couple vegan cookies they do as well.

Good concept Big salads - Edit
I had read about this place on happycow and have eaten here a handful of times since it opened on Main Street back in January 2012. Was here again in December 2012, and here's my Greens Up review update.
Read moreI like the concept of this restaurant. It's simple. You choose a pre-designed salad, or create your own by choosing your toppings. You can see all the toppings in the glass case display.
So far I really like the Thai salad, which is vegan-suitable. It has baked tofu cubes, mixed salad greens, sliced carrots, cucumber, peanut bits, red onion slices--all tossed in a peanut dressing. It's delicious and filling.
There is always a soup-of-the-day, which switches between a lentil soup, a spicy vegetarian chili (with tvp), and mushroom barley or something.
The space is small and casual basci with large front windows for natural sunlight to come through. Conveniently located on Main Street Santa Monica, so if you are in the area, this is a good choice for a big fresh salad
