Go-to quick meal

Love that they have four or five vegan options of omusubi! This is my go-to if I’m out and about and need a quick meal. Miso eggplant is my favorite.

Great vegan omusubi options…

If you’re in need of a quick, tasty and filling snack, this is your place. They have several vegan options and I tried them all. I quite enjoyed the Eggplant Chili Miso option. The shop itself is quite tiny with not much space to eat, so expect to take your food to go. Other than that, I would certainly make a return trip.

Pros: Delicious omusubi, Food is fresh and made to order , Nice service

Cons: No dining area , Parking can be difficult when it’s busy

Totally worth it! So good!

They had several vegan options to choose from and the vegan options are clearly marked and labeled. You can choose to have them made ready to eat or eat for later (they then wrap in plastic). I ordered the miso mushroom and hijiki shiitaki for hubby and I to split and share. Both were delicious! Next time we will order several each lol. Go inside to order, but there is no indoor seating. Gets confusing outside which line is to order and which is to pick up food. There is outdoor seating. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Pros: Several vegan options, Friendly staff

Cons: Tiny shop, no indoor seating, Sidewalk outside is narrow, gets confusing, Which line is for ordering/which is for waiting

Fast and cheap!

I love sushi to begin with so this cute take was perfect for an on the go snack or to pack in your back for later. I got the miso mushroom, pea and tofu as well as eggplant. All were fantastic! Will be adding this to my list of favorites for sure

Pros: Several vegan options

Not bad

I’ve been here multiple time because it is in my neighborhood. When I go I get one of their rice balls 🍙 and their mango oolong tea with boba. I would recommend this place to anyone who lives near by it, it’s not worth driving a long way. Overall it’s a nice small place that is booming in business.

was very satisfied!!

They have a vegan menu with tasty, authentic onigiri wrapped in korean-style seaweed. It totally hit the spot and there were so many options!
Warm miso soup on a foggy Santa Monica day made it all the better.
Rice was a bit mushy, but overall fresh tasting.
Good service, too. A few stools to sit on.

Pros: quick bite, healthy, light, many vegan options

Cons: No bathroom for customers

Rice balls

I added this place to happycow because they began to label the vegan suitable rice balls varieties - now you see on the wall 4 or labeled vegan ones. However the prep area is tiny and meat & non-meat are all handled together.

Basically, what you get is a fist-size seaweed-covered rice ball with a little bit of filling inside (has mushroom, or hijiki peas and corn, or preserved plum, and one other flavor). Cost is approx. $3.50 to 4.00 each. Fills you as a snack. If you want to make it a full meal, you might need to order 3. Help your self to complimentary cold tea.

The place is cramped with a few stools for sitting on. Gets busy on Saturdays and Sundays, so you will see people eat standing around outside.

LOVE THIS PLACE!

My husband and I started going here when they first opened. We used to walk down and the owners got to know us by name!!

They have about 6 different flavors of fillings each day and include about half vegetarian half meat/fish. Their nori is fresh! Rice is warm! Fillings are flavorful and often include exotic (and healthy!) mushrooms, curry and other great flavors.

Writing this makes me want to go again, soon! It's been a while.

Pros: FREQUENT BUYER CARD--buy 10 get one free, SUPER SAVY TO-GO NORI FOR YOUR OMISUBI, ITS FUN TO SAY AND FUN TO EAT!
