Disappointing

I'm staying in the hotel. Breakfast is dreadful and probably the only vegan food is fruit and juice. I dont think the bread is even adv...tastes like brioche. The menu has vegetarian options listed under the vegan section.

Pros: Nice green environment

Cons: Lacking in vegan options. , Vegetarian labelled as vegan , Expensive

Limited and mislabeled menu

Vegan menu was mislabelled - many of the items were clearly vegetarian not vegan. Staff didn’t know what vegan was. The options we did get were really small for what we paid. Better places close by

Pros: Nice space

Delicious food, tiny portions

At the “Art Kitchen” restaurant within the “Greenhost Boutique Hotel” they offer delicious food in tiny portions. When we were in Yogya I was so glad to get something different from rice with vegetables and tofu/tempeh that we went there even twice. So I have tried the Tempeh Burger, the spaghetti with pesto and mushrooms and the avocado chocolate mousse. Everything was very good (but also very expensive for Indonesia). They are truly vegan-friendly – they clearly sign all the vegan options and they would also have had a glass-noodle salad, several soups, other pasta dishes, snacks like corn fritters, sorbet. The atmosphere is a bit weird – behind the hotel lobby and in front of the indoor pool. Staff are very friendly and attentive.
