FOOD POISONING!! - Edit
I ordered the vegetable pizza without cheese & the fried rice with tofu, my mom ordered the pad Thai tofu.
Read moreFirst of all, place is not clean at all we asked to clean the table and they never did we cleaned it ourselves.
My mom received pad Thai with real chicken, after asking to change to tofu she got tofu but it still tasted like chicken, I think they just switched the chicken for tofu but kept the noodles the same way.
The pizza was mediocre, very empty without the cheese and I asked pineapple but they forgot.
The fried rice was okay but tofu was not tasteful.
My mom got a very bad food poisoning from the pad Thai and puked all night!
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Food poisoning , Unsanitary , Mediocre food

Great pizza and amazing sunset views - Edit
Best to visit one hour before sunset to watch the hot air balloons and para-gliders above.
Read moreHad a large Beerlao and a garden veggie pizza (I’m veggie and have a meat allergy). I asked them to keep my pizza away from meat and either not to cut it or clean the cutter first. I checked twice and he understood.
The pizza was delicious, and no signs of cross contamination (either at the time or in the aftermath where my body would tell me!).
Highly recommend for an early evening carb fest after loads of cycling and hiking.
Pros: Understood cross contamination , Awesome pizza, Brilliant views for sunset

Huge Chunks of Tofu - Edit
I had the Tofu Satay (70k) and veggie stir fried noodles (50k) shared with my friend. It was really good and staff were happy to accommodate vegans.

No taste, nice view - Edit
The view from the outdoor-terrace is very good, but that is the best part about this place. Got the tofu satay with chips and salad. Tofu tastes like nothing, no marinade or even a peanut sauce - just the standard red sauce, they serve everything with (spring rolls etc). The little side salat was okay, dou can't do something wrong wirh pure salad...the chips were very bad - just oily. Although, the whole family including the little boys (6-8years old) are working like serving dishes, lighting the candles e.g.

The food was disgusting. I ordered the fresh spring rolls an the tofu stirfried, both tasted like nothing and it was really bad to eat it… there was like no taste at all. Imagine people eating meat there, after seeing all theses sick animals on the streets makes me vomit. There are children working as well. Why do kids have to work? That is really [censored] up.

Ok food - Edit
The food was okay. I wasn't a big fan of the flavour of the massaman curry. You do have some options as a vegan, which is nice. The view on the terrace is also very nice

Just okay - Edit
Food was just okay, had a pad thai which tasted alright. They understood my order when I explained no egg or fish sauce which was good, but no vegan marked dishes on the menu.

Amazing view - food was ok - Edit
The restaurant has a terrace with an amazing view, we went for dinner and ordered vegan pizza and a salad and it was much better than we expected, very tasty. We came back another day for breakfast but was not great, we got a sandwich with vegetables (just a salad with cabbage, lettuce and tomato, no oil and no sauce) and a porridge with coconut milk and banana, which was ok. The staff was lovely and accommodating.

Ok food - Edit
The food tastes ok (not the most exciting or flavourful) and the prices are ok. Food doesn’t take too long to prepare but staff forgot drinks frequently and not sure about the hygiene here (saw a big pan of sauce or something that looked very old). The views are the best thing about this place

Ok, by Vang Vieng standards. - Edit
Came after reading good reviews about vegetarian options.
Read moreI had the tofu version of 'Or Lam' (traditional Lao stew) served with a basket of sticky rice. It was okay, but I feel they left out the chilli, wood chilli, ear mushrooms, numbing pepper, etc., because I'm foreign. I was hoping for something more intense, after reading about how it is supposed to taste.
Also, like the restaurant I went to last night, the portion was so small that I had to order a vegetarian baguette, so I would feel full. When the baguette came out it was a much bigger portion. 🙌🏻
The restaurant has a big verandah with nice views of the mountains and sunset. I came just after sunset and enjoyed the colour show. There were a lot of people here at the same time.
Note: Like the place I went to last night, not much English is spoken , service is slow, cooking is slow, portions are small, and they don't even bother to collect the dishes from the previous people, nor wipe the table.
So while this is a good place by Vang Vieng standards (clearly a very low bar), if it were elsewhere, I wouldn't recommend it.
Pros: Happy to find veg food in Laos (it's hard!), Verandah with great views
Cons: Slow service , Slow cooking , Small portions
