Organic and healthy vegan food and drinks in heart of Vail

We eat here a lot because Vail has pretty limited options for affordable vegan food. Everything here is vegan. Their peanut sobo noodles are not to be missed. Addictive!! We also often get their almond burger wrap which is good and the teriyaki tofu which even out non vegan friends love. Their juices and smoothies are also excellent. They have a larger location in Avon that we go to pretty regularly which has more options but I’m REALLY happy this little cafe is in Lionshead Vail. They used to have a little drive through in West Vail that closed so we hope the Vail Village Lionshead location stays open. They also have some options each Sunday at the farmers market in Vail

Pros: Very tasty and healthy food and drink , Convenient grab and go and location, Relatively affordable for Vail

Cons: Serve in plastic

Everything is served in plastic

I really want to like a place that’s 100% plant-based and health focused, but I was disappointed to discover that all the juices here are prepackaged in plastic bottles. Yes, they’re recyclable in theory, but with recent global changes only a small minority of plastic tossed in the recycling bin is actually recycled, and I just can’t bring myself to contribute to the totally unsustainable and toxic mass of single-use plastics contaminating our planet.

The fix is easy: provide the option to have juices served in glass or in customers’ own containers. For customers who don’t have their own containers, keep some for sale (another revenue stream). Worst case, use compostable cups made of plant starch, and provide a special wastebin for them to make sure they actually get composted.

With these changes, I’d be a happy customer, and our planet would be happy, too. Please consider these suggestions. 🙏

Green juice💚

If you’re staying in the vail village, such a convenient place to get green juices, almond mylks, and some nice options for food. I tried the teriyaki tofu with an Asian kale salad. Delish.

Vegan restaurant but cold food

Ate quinoa and brown rice entree. As it was cold it tasted OK. Brown rice seemed not cooked well. good option as lunch option after skiing. Thai peanut noodle was good even cold. Highly recommended.
