Cute place but the food is not that good.

To be honest the food was not seasoned very well at all but they do change the menu every day so maybe we just got unlucky. They use mozzarella in alot of stuff, hopefully not the kind with rennet. The fajitas need alot more spices in the beans, they taste so bland. The place is cute but not enough protein option and they reheat stuff because they don't seem to have a proper kitchen.

Pros: nice people, cute relaxed place

Cons: They reheat premade stuff, They use cheese in some time items.

lovely vegan food

I had a lovely takeaway vegan pasty & vegan cup cake yesterday. It was so nice we went back for dinner later. I was so full up after lunch though that I could only share a soup with my husband!
Friendly staff. Definitely recommend if you are vegan or veggie. No alcohol, but it is a healthy place so you can always go for a drink afterwards.

Pros: tasty food, friendly staff

Cons: no alcohol

Must visit this restaurant if you're veg

Friendly owners, family operated and varied menu make this place special.

After a straight week of Thai food, this place was a refreshing reminder that vegetarian options in Thailand are not just noodle dishes, curry and rice.

Loved this spot.

Simple yet good (more of an cafe than a restaurant)

From our trip around Thailand we stayed at Krabi, Ao Nang for a 5 days and looked around for a pleasant meal, luckily we hit up Happycow to discover this welcoming place in a little bit hiden street.

It is really a simple place and it intends to be.

The vibe is carefree yet alert and every move made in preparing our food was considerate - truly fulfilling experience.

No, it is not a place where the butler has a stick between hes or hers buns to keep a smile on your face, neglecting his or hers - no

The experience is more like visiting a friend, where you see your people and accept them for who they are and they do the same, it really feels like home, when you open yourself to it!

The food has an vedic twist to it, as you feel that everything has its balance, no overpowering flavour.

The experience was good and the food was good, but it tends to be a little bit more suitable for breakfast/lunch than for dinner.

The pastry is certainly cafes strong suit. Same goes for the salty and the cakes, really nice!

The atmosphere is more western than anywhere else we found in Ao Nang Beach, really nice cafeteria to do your lunch break in or enjoy yourself.

The owners are really nice and open, make sure not to march in with your foot gear on, as the floor is cleaned for you to be there on your barefoot.

Thank you!

Pros: cakes, good value, good portions, good atmosphere, good vibe, good food, friendly staff

Cons: more of an cafeteria than restaurant

Great Food

Cute restaurant off the main strip of beach in Aonang-- the only vegan/vegetarian only restaurant I could find in the area. The food was flavorful, tasted fresh and the owner was very kind. It's a bit pricier than some other places I've seen but a real treat!

Amazing food, good vibe!

We visited back in November and were so happy that we took a boat over from Railay to find this place. We had a delicious vegan calzone, fried potato ball with dip, and a vegan version of seco (steak) with rice and sauce.

So delicious, every bite. The owner and his daughter were super sweet. The inside was adorable, very nice vibe.

Pros: Delicious food, atmosphere

Fantastic!!!

This restaurant has only been open a few months, go and give them your support you WILL NOT be disappointed. The food tastes amazing and the family who run the place are so friendly and make you literally feel right at home. Almost everything is vegan including the desserts such as vegan cupcakes!! The owners are just the sweetest and the food is divine so get down to this place and try everything they have to offer. There are so many food choices in Krabi and Ao Nang and yet so little of them are for veggies. This place is your go-to gem.

Pros: Sweetest Family Ownership, Amazing, unique, vegan food, Good prices

absolutey amazing

After going through Phuket and phi phi struggling for good veggie and vegan food, we hit the jackpot with Govinda's, which was literally a minute from our resort.
The owners are such beautiful and loving hosts, offering us every option and explaining what each is. Everything is cooked fresh by the family, which makes a massive difference to the quality of food as well.
We just got back from dinner here today, and already we know we will go again tomorrow and try some of the other dishes.

I definitely recommend all to try,

Thanks Govinda's for a great meal.

If you are in Ao Nang, Govinda's restaurant is a MUST GO. You will love the freshly made vegan/vegetarian food.

Most of the items are fixed on the menu, but the main menu will change daily (so come back daily!). And make sure you thy their kachori.

The staff is amazing and always ready for a talk.

Pros: Amazing food, Price, Staff

Best vegan burger in Thailand so far!

This nice and cosy little restaurant ist a real diamond in this area full of meat-offering places, so we went there every day during our stay in Ao Nang. The family who runs the place are open-hearted, friendly and talkative people. The food is so yummy and the prices are absolutely affordable. Most of the food is vegan - the owner will show you which. The cupcakes and muffins are a total hit and the vegan soyburger was the best we found in Thailand so far.

Keep up the good work and all the best!

Pros: Taste, Friendly staff, Location

Mmmh

I went to Govinda's Restaurant on both days that I stayed in Krabi. They have changing main menus everyday for 120 baht inkl. the drink of the day. I did not try them, but other guests gave the feedback, that it was delicious.
I ate the empanada(?) and some kind of potato dish in dough, both came with a yummy sauce.
The tofu burger, which had a nice sauce on it, was a reealy tasty! As a dessert I tried the ginger chocolate muffin, which was soooooo delicious !!! I also had the cupcake, which topping was also super good. Sadly I had to leave the next day, so I couldn't try out the rest haha.
If I will ever be in Krabi again, I will come back!

Best little hidden treasure!

What a surprise!! I've been coming to Ao Nang for years. Each time I would have a real hard time finding a pure vegetarian place to eat in peace. There used to be a small place in front of Tesco, however it seems to be shut down..
When I came across this little hidden treasure I was thrilled.
The food was yummy!! Just like a good old home cooked meal. It felt so wholesome, but the best part was the owners and the service, not to mention the decor, is very peaceful and pleasant. The Empanadas are really delicious, I highly recommend this place, and will be eating here everytime I visit ?

Pros: The service , The food, The decor

Cons: They're not open on the weekend ?

Fantastic restaurant

The only vegetarian restaurant in town, very reasonably priced and offers variety of delicious items. The atmosphere is pleasant and elegant, and the staff are very friendly. The restaurant is run by family owners and it makes you feel at home and welcome. The location is good, we could easily find it. Will definety recommend it to all my friends, whether vegetarian or not. And we will be regular visitors on our next trip to Krabi! Keep it up.

Pros: Location, Atmosphere and staff, Food, variety and price

I wish I could've stayed longer in Ao nang to try every dish Govindas offered, the fruit smoothies were freshly pressed, the salads were fresh, the dishes from different ethnicities were simply amazing.
Not to mention this restaurant was the only vegetarian/vegan restaurant in the area, it seems the restaurant is run by the owners, the service was lovely, priced right !

Disappointed

I was attracted to this place because it was recently open and it is close to the beach. When you enter at the place, it looks nice and clean. However the food was cold and the service by the owner (a Latina by her strong accent) was no the best. I wish them luck on their new business, but they need to improve a little more if they want to compete with the other nice vegetarian restaurants. All the best!

Pros: Clean, New, Location

Cons: Cold food, Bad service
