Good bagels, and the V is a great sandwich - Edit
You have to order online, this is a pickup location not a full bagel delivery counter. But it works just as well and the V is one of the better and more thought out vegan bagel sandwiches I’ve seen

Got the V sandwich, expensive but gigantic. Delicious! Online order only which I wish I’d known ahead of time. Word to the wise that the order form only accepts American cards.

This is actually just one of the locations Gotham has in Chicago (check their website). Important to note is that you need to order online via their website, but this works great. I always opt for the Everything bagel with the vegan scallion cream cheese and have never been disappointed!

keep this place open so i can come back and eat bagels - Edit
this shop was so dear to me when I lived in the area. all other bagels have been demoted after having this place in my life. the bagels themselves are hand-rolled, perfectly soft & crispy in all the right ways, and the vegan tofu cream cheese (which they are generous with) is fluffy and wonderfully neutral enough to not overwhelm. i love the everything flavor, my partner likes the sesame.

their coffee is good and pairs well with the bagels - they have oat and almond milk too!

Pros: outdoor seating in the summer, kind, friendly staff, easy online ordering
Cons: reminded me i was silly to move away, eating other bagels makes me sad
