Decent option - Edit
Went here for dinner and tried the falafel burger and banana blossom fish & chips with a kale & quinoa salad starter. They also had vegan soup on the menu and a curry, and banana fritters with ice cream on the menu which I didn’t try.
Read moreThe food was nice, the options weren’t the most inspiring and the service was alright.
Pros: Tasty food , Nice venue
Cons: Not particularly exciting or many options

Terrible - don't go for the vegan menu! - Edit
My partner and I were staying on Arran in a B&B and decided to travel down to Lamlash on a Sunday evening to try the Glenisle Vegan Menu. We called in advance and made a booking, and then took 2 buses to get there from Sannox.
Read moreWe arrived 10 min early for our booking, and were told by the waiter that we'd have to sit and wait before our order could be taken. It took about half an hour for him to return to take our order and we weren't offered any drinks in the meantime.
I ordered the lasagne and my partner had the saag. When the food arrived, we were hugely disappointed with the food. At £15 a head for mains, you expect something which has had some thought and love put into it.
The lasagne comprised of curried lentils, potato, thin slices of butternut squash and fried onions, topped with hummus(!) and grated vegan cheese. It was supposed to come with salt baked potatoes, but the sad dry burnt bottom tatties I got had no seasoning on them. The only decent thing on the plate was the olives in the side salad.
The saag consisted of uncooked tofu, stirred through a tomato sauce, with microwaved rice and (instead of the stated khobez bread) an untoasted white pitta cut into triangles.
We ordered two half pints of WEST brew lager, and it was about £3.75 per glass which I thought was steep.
Given that there were so few staff on hand and all teenagers, we decided to pay and leave without making a complaint as we didn't feel we were likely to get anywhere with it.
Apart from all of this, the bathrooms in the place were recently renovated but had fittings which had been pulled off the wall in each stall, one had a hole in it where the door had been kicked in, there was no soap and the sink unit was totally sodden across the whole top as the taps were too wide for the sinks.
Overall I would say this place has made a few mistakes. One is to spend such a lot of money on a big sign which has been posted all around Instagram especially advertising this menu. The other is to have very obviously not tested any of these meals. I have had better on jury duty and in hospital! If you can't provide something fancy, do a basic veggie burger! Most vegans are not especially fussy, but we don't want to eat slop at £15 a head.
