Amazing! - Edit
We had the most wonderful stay at Stonewater House. The breakfasts were incredible and very generously portioned, and the owners were really friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was lovely and beautifully located near the waterfront. I would recommend staying here to anyone for a trip on Arran!

Very lovely B&B - Edit
Stayed here in July with my 2 children for 4 nights. Where to start? The house is lovely - spacious and very clean. Carol and Jules are brilliant hosts - they provide everything you think you need and more. We were excited to see a bowl with fresh fruit and healthy snacks in our room, as well as tea, coffee, oat milk and chilled water. We had a nice selection of toiletries too (think my daughter has bought the full Faith in Nature range since we came home). We had a fantastic view across to Holy Isle from our window. The two course breakfast menu is brilliant, so much choice. The food is really tasty, healthy, and you get lots of it! They have lots of tourist information available both in the toom and downstairs. Lots of other reading material and games available too. We came by bus which stops right outside. Lamlash is a really nice place - a few shops, water / beach activities, and eating places, not too busy. I've probably missed out loads of stuff. Book Stonewater House! It's fab! We've booked up for next year already :)

An Arran Gem - Edit
We stayed here for two nights and were looked after unbelievably well. Carol and Jules are lovely and are passionate about being vegan and giving their guests a great experience. Breakfast is absolutely delicious - the portions are huge - and all cooked and presented with the utmost care are attention. You can also ask for a packed lunch to be prepared if you are exploring the island- again, very fresh and delicious. Our room was lovely and bright and comfy, with all vegan toiletries etc. Stonewater House should be an Arran destination in its own right!

Stonewater House - Edit
We stayed in this bed & breakfast in September 20. I've been eating a plant based diet since March. However my friend who i was travelling with eats meat but she was happy to stay there as she had seen the pictures of the breakfasts!
Read moreWe both found the food and accommodation to be great. Carol and Jules are fabulous hosts and made us feel very welcome from the beginning. They will also give you information regarding the other places to eat on the island. The location is excellent as their lving area overlooks the Holy Island. We would definitely like to visit again. Arran is beautiful but I do think Lamlash is the nicest part of the Island and we highly recommend visiting and staying at Stonewater. There were other occupants staying who didn't eat a plant based diet but they also commented on the food being fabulous! It would be great if they would start providing an evening meal as well as breakfast. Until the next time Sebah&Sue

Wonderful vegan B&B - Edit
We enjoyed our short stay at Stonewaterhouse very much. Booking process was easy and great communication, including tips on how to get there as well as tips for places with vegan options on the island.
Read moreCarol and Jules were great hosts, very welcoming and knowledgeable about where vegan options were available and happy to book a table for us. Note: it’s best to do that, possibly even in advance during high season as we left it too late on day of arrival and struggled to find something nice.
Breakfast was fresh, healthy and plentiful. Various plant milks as well as gluten free breakfast options.
Vegan toiletries, cleaning products etc.
I hope to visit again sometime.

Best B&B I've stayed in...period. - Edit
We stayed for 5 days, and we were sad to leave. What a fantastic find this place is. The hosts Carol and Jules are some of the nicest people I’ve met and nothing was too much trouble for them. They even booked our evening meals and had loads of useful knowledge on where to eat plant based. Immaculate rooms, interesting books and magazines dotted around and huge, delicious, imaginative breakfasts with freshly squeezed orange juice and home made smoothies. It’s also wonderful to stay at a place with owners who really care about the environment and animal welfare, and it’s great to know that everything is 100% vegan. Who knew Arran would have such an ace plant based B&B? Really enjoyed our stay, best B&B we’ve ever stayed in, good work guys, lovely to meet you!
