Unreal - Edit
Literally amazing food! Loved the pizza but the salad was so so good - had pistachios and dried apple. Maybe better than the pizza!

Exquisite! - Edit
This is a 3 years late review as the lasagna is no longer available on their menu 😅. I would definitely come back to Gigi’s to try out their gnocchi, other desserts and their highly raved about pizzas when I get the chance! The lasagna and chocolate custard cannoli was very delicious 😋

Outstanding pizza - Edit
Gigi Pizzeria is one of my favorite pizza places anywhere. Its crust is just the right amount of chewy; there are a great range of toppings; and the service is friendly. We got pizza from Gigi twice while in town and ate in a nearby park, so I can't speak to the vibe, but everything else was excellent.

Best (vegan) Italian restaurant by far - Edit
My all-time favourite Italian restaurant! The lasagne and gnocchi are standouts, as is the cheesecake. Staff are super friendly, there’s often a line out the door though.

Great vegan pizza - Edit
It's great. It's yummy. But it's not the best. We had the Atlantic pizza and it was great, the sauce was amazing, and although it's been a long time since I've had seafood pizza this one really reminded me of true seafood pizzas.
Read moreThe special that we had was tomato base pizza with eggplant and mushrooms and it was just fine. No hook, no zing.
When I come back and have more, and if pizzas taste as great as Atlantica then I will change my rating to 5 star!

Probably the best vegan pizza in Sydney - Edit
Never disappointed with Gigi’s, they have so many pizzas, pastas, sides and desserts, both veggie based and faux meat/cheese based. Can be a bit pricy for a few courses but it’s well worth it for a nice dinner!

Vegan Wood-Fired Pizzas - Edit
Known for their vegan wood-fired pizzas! I enjoyed the pizza I ordered, which contained minimal processed ingredients (except for vegan cheese) yet tasted very flavourful. The tiramisu dessert was good too. I did find the lighting rather dim, and it got quite noisy with people trying to talk over the loud music; I understand it's subjective and some people might like this ambience though. This is a populary eatery that draws a crowd/queue; reservations not accepted. Note that they are a cashless eatery, and 10% surcharge is applied on public holidays. Few minutes' walk from Newtown Station.

we need more vegan pizza like this - Edit
Gigi is an Italian restaurant specializing in vegan pizza but also offering a couple of other dishes including pasta and antipasti.
Read moreThey have pizza and calzone with classic toppings/fillings as well as unconventional toppings/fillings featuring e.g. cauliflower, parsley, potato and radicchio.
Overall, I really liked the pizza and wish there was a vegan pizzeria like this in my city! The pizza dough is thin and lightly crispy at the edges. Also the plant-based cheese was amazing - even my non-vegan friends enjoyed the pizza here!
Service is somewhat automated: You order and pay in advance via an app. Staff will then bring the food and drinks to your table.
Because this restaurant is quite popular, it is normally very crowded and you may need to stand in line to get a table!

Had a bit of a day so ordered this to my hotel. Was so glad to see gluten free gnocchi on the menu. Got the pesto gnocchi, and some potato almond bites. Also got the arancini but didn’t like it - it was too meaty textured for me. Came in compostable packaging, which was great!
