Several non-fruit flavors

Dark chocolate was too chocolatey for me and I’m a chocolate person. Raspberry swirl was mainly vanilla with a little bit of raspberry. Chocolate peanut butter banana was what I landed on and it was pretty good. Sugar cone was vegan too. Their flavors rotate too so you won’t know what they have till you get there.

Excellent Ice Cream Quality & Selection

My family has eaten ice cream here once and also has been served ice cream from here at someone else’s home.

Our first introduction to Gerald’s was when visiting a neighbor for dessert. The neighbor is not vegan and struggles to figure out what to feed us. She was so proud to offer vegan vanilla-raspberry ice cream from Gerald’s, and it was delicious! A few weeks later, a family group of three visited Gerald’s. We tried three different flavors. We traded samples, and we all loved each of the different flavors. I don’t remember the exact names, but one flavor was chocolatey, one was coffee or mocha, and the third was something akin to chunky monkey, maybe w/ banana, chocolate, & caramel.

Gerald’s is a neighborhood ice cream parlor (Hilltop) that also sells gourmet chocolates. It is not an all-vegan establishment but had about six vegan flavors of ice cream to choose from and also offered a couple flavors of sorbet that likely could be vegan (didn’t ask). Although we just got cups of ice cream, one of the several types of cones offered is vegan. We did not ask about the ability to create a vegan sundae, a few of the available toppings looked workable: e.g., fruit sauces, nuts, & Oreos.

There is some seating inside and also a few tables outside on the sidewalk.
