Good for Vegans.

Most of the lunch menu at Five was suitable for vegans, and there were also additional vegetarian options. They have a small seating area inside, and all their food is available to take away. I sat inside whilst I enjoyed a delicious Iced Latte (with Oat Milk) and a satisfactory Falafel, Houmous Baby Spinach Toasted Wrap. As the Vegan Roll looked so good in the chilled counter, I decided to take one away with me along with a Sticky Toffee Biscoff Pastry. The Vegan Roll was incredibly good and was actually the nicest thing I had from there (with the fantastic coffee being a close second), but the Sticky Toffee Biscoff Pastry left much to be desired.

I plan on visiting Five again, and I hope the next visit will raise my rating. I don't like to give a small independent business a 3 stars, especially not one who caters so well to vegans and has an emphasis on whole foods. The reason for my 3 star rating is because I was let down by my visit. The food, as my review indicates, was not consistent, and I was surprised to see such a limited menu as they had previously run such an extensive one with interesting sounding dishes before closing for the winter (they only reopened for the season a couple of weeks ago). They also, as the sign on the cafe front advertises, do not have any salads on the menu, which was disappointing as they are most often my dish of choice when eating out for lunch. I hope the menu and food improve and become more reflective of their former standard before closing for the season in November and that other vegans and myself can enjoy good healthy food from a cafe that clearly cares about catering to vegans.

Pros: Mostly Vegan and Vegetarian Menu, Healthy Whole Foods, Delicious Coffee

Cons: No Salads as Advertised, Limited Menu, No Vegan Breakfast Choices, Vegan Options Not Labelled
