Best vegan chocolate cake - Edit
Finally went here yesterday after hearing so many good things and wasn’t disappointed. Had quesadillas which were delicious and the most moist and gooey chocolate cake I’ve had as a vegan. Lovely cafe area and they are dog friendly too. V friendly staff and reasonably priced for massive portions! Also free & easy parking!

Fabulous - Edit
We thought the sat nav had gone wrong as we approached; then we spotted the sign. It is well worth the trip. On a hot day it was cool, bright and airy. The food was fresh, tasty and interesting, the staff were fun, smiling and welcoming. All in all well worth going to. We are planning our return visit.

A real hidden gem! - Edit
Located in an unlikely building down a narrow track, you may think google maps is playing tricks on you! The food is prepared with an attention to detail rarely seen at the affordable end of the spectrum. The bruschetta was simply the best I have ever eaten. We left satisfied, but a bit sad that we wouldn’t have an opportunity to sample more of the delights in the menu since we were just passing through.

Great - Edit
Good vegan options albeit a bit expensive. Misleading as they moved and we went to the old address displayed on here prior to finding the real place. However, food is filling and good quality in a chilled, quiet area! Enjoyed this place many times :)

Our best meal in England this year - Edit
We discovered F.east by chance while driving through the south of England in July. Chance brought us good luck because this restaurant was a delightful experience. The food was excellent as was the atmosphere. Simple, warm with friendly and efficient people. We would recommend it heartily to anyone.

Wonderful flavours - Edit
Passing through Ilminster we found Feast tucked away at the top of the cute high street. The cafe is so cute, with a plethora of seating inside and a lovely outdoor terrace. Vegetarian but with vegan options, we had an amazing mezze plate and a lentil and carrot salad. Huge portions, friendly staff and a lovely quirky historic interior, we loved it. Two of the days cakes were vegan so it would have been rude to not have both! A Chocolate Cherry Cake and Banana Loaf later, we were stuffed and so happy to have found this lovely cafe on our journey to Devon.

Excellent little place in Ilminster of all places! - Edit
We visited Feast on a Thursday afternoon at about 1pm and found it almost full. Despite being busy the friendly women who run this place took note of our extra awkward dietary requirements - vegan, nightshade and sugar free - they offered to make us a special. This we agreed would be a noodle stir fry with a side salad. There were 5 set meals on the menu that had vegan versions but none to suit our tricky other requirements. Our fellow customers are not veggie but we're very impressed with the curry and rarebit. Our noodles were great. The Roibois tea was late but tasty and to my delight they had a sugar free vegan chocolate flapjack cake which was crispy sweet and crunchy.

Lovely little restaurant. Everything on their menu is vegetarian and a large portion of it is vegan. They have the most amazing vegan chocolate cake I've ever tasted.

Beautiful Food - Edit
A vegetarian cafe that is very accomodating to vegans.... and non-veggies will be very happy with the selection. On a busy Saturday had a wonderful tostadas with black bean chilli; all served with the most complex salad... not a wilted leave in sight. This is delicious, satisfying food for anyone. Really wish that this was a restaurant that opened in the evening as I could easily go back every week. If you are local or a visitor to Somerset I highly recommend.

Sweet - Edit
Seems like a sweet place and a nice pleasant meal.
Read moreThe staff seemed a little confused about what was vegan and what wasn't, although this was eventually sorted out by someone (perhaps the owner/chef) who was helpful and very friendly.
We enjoyed a sort of cooked vegetable salad dish with lentils. Was nice although we still felt a little peckish afterwards and would expect to feel a little fuller after spending nearly £20 for lunch... Having said that, the food seemed to be made with love and if you are in that part of the world, it's worth popping into, even if it's just for a cup of herbal tea and cake.
I really love the fact that there is a little veggie cafe in a small Somerset village.
Pros: Vegan options
Cons: A little pricey
