Located in the Billboard shopping plaza 2, floor 2, can access from the road running parallel and next to the river, and there is a pedestrian overbridge from the river flood bank across to the Plaza. Open Mon-Thu 11:00am-10:00pm, Fri-Sat 11:00am-11:00pm, Sun 11:00am-10:00pm.

Read moreI expected a little more out this place. The local vegetables were fresh and tasty but that was pretty much it. Nothing to write books about...though the sweet potato and soy milk soup was AMAZING!

Staff were friendly and let me know what was vegan. The vegan plate was full of local vegetables and delicious. Great meal and atmosphere.

Very nice staff, tried to accommodate our needs for vegan food. The carrot soup was delicious, as well as the tomato miso paste with vegetables. The rest of the vegetables was ok.

The importance of fresh and local - Edit
I was pretty sad that the tasting plate set had fish, chicken and even pork, but I understand that the concept is more about showcasing proximity ingredients than about morals.
Read moreThe desserts were super interesting, with very uncommon, nutritious (and vegan!) ingredients. I'd definitely go back just to try a few more of those!
The staff was super nice, and the place was cozy and spacious after a very long day of walking way too much, unlike all those tiny holes in the wall in Tokyo -- it did feel like a treat to myself. The cute Niigata produce stickers you can get with your change at the register were also a charming detail.
Pros: Local, ethical, Fresh and high-quality ingredients
Cons: Pricey, Not many vegan options besides dessert

Food was lovely – so good to have simply prepared, fresh vegetables again (may vary seasonally). Some new and nice tastes experienced. Beautifully presented. Chef clearly has imagination and desire to please. Second time we visited, although food was similar, it was presented differently. Chef was concerned we should have enough carbohydrate. Restaurant seems to have a philosophy of ‘Think Local, Taste Local and Feel Local’. Hours 11.00-22.00 with last order at 21.00. Tel 025-240-4777
