A Vegan option in the old city

We were delighted to find a small fully vegan place in the old city. Reasonable affordable falafel. Liked the Free salads and sauces.

Basic Falafel

A small simple place. You can get a sandwich with various toppings and a some fries. Not bad and vegan.

Only vegan place in the old city :)

I liked the falafel and the location. The Hummus is from the store but good. Salads were fresh, i showed up in the morning. Just be careful with the opening hours, i was there right in time but had to wait half an hour. The owner (?) was also very nice!

Pros: Good falafel, Great location, Nice staff

Love it

It’s better than any falafel I’ve tried in the US. Great location too.

Bad falafel

Couldn't finish the pita. The salads were not fresh at all, the pita itself was not good and even the falafel balls were mediocre. Do not recommend.

Self service

If you ask falafel for NIS 25 you get a pita with hummus and 4 falafel balls inside. The rest vegetables and spices is up to you as you put it inside yourself from the bar

Amazing

I love this place. They give you pita, hummus, and falafel and you do the rest!! #Veganuary

Pros: Build your own, To-go, Cheap

Cons: Only falafel

It's simple! And it's vegan

I think JaredInIsrael's review says it all the best. By no means is it the best in service, seating, or falafel quality, but it's nice that it's completely vegan and you are in control of the portions, which is not something you see really anywhere else (although I think a similar falafel spot did open up in the kikar hamusica area).

Pros: Entirely vegan, Cheap, Completely customized

Cons: Not the cleanest, Overshadowed by falafel pretty much everywhere els

Make your own felafel!

Although, like most locals, I have very strong feelings about who makes the best felafel, and it's definitely not Felafel HaRova, my son and I (both vegan) decided to show our support for one of the only unabashedly proud vegan felafel stands I'm aware of in the whole country (check out the facade in the photos). The service was not at all friendly, the tables were not very clean, and the felafel (while tasty) was quite oily. But, to their credit and to our enjoyment, they simply provide each customer with a pita and you get to do the rest! What a pleasure to make-your-own sandwich, from deciding what to spread on the pita (humus, tehina, amba, etc.), how many felafel balls to squish in (and at what intervals with the other ingredients), and with which fillings to complete the masterpiece (salad, eggplant, onions, carrots, pickles, etc.). They also invite you to fill up small side dishes with fries (included in the cost), but those were even greasier than the felafel. Bottom line, if you're looking for quality or cleanliness, this may not be your best bet, but if you want to have fun and get creative with this classic Middle Eastern chickpea tradition, Felafel HaRova is worth a try.

Pros: Make your own felafel sandwich!, 100% vegan ingredients, Lots of outdoor seating

Cons: Mediocre quality, Unfriendly service, Not so clean
