Lots of options, delicious food - Edit
Wide variety of Middle Eastern foods. 10 or 14 salads are vegan. Falafel. Pizza. Soups and chili too. Vegan and gluten-free food clearly marked. Take out or dining in the tables in the hall.

Good but mild flavors - Edit
Had the Moroccan Sampler and it had 8 different unique samples but only one Pita cut into quarters. The vegetables were the standout since the spices were not strong enough for me. Had to use my own bread to finish up the next day since the portions were substantial. Also tried a carrot cupcake but was flowery in flavor, maybe rose water, not my favorite. Place was recommended by a guy who was vegan for over 10 years. Good food but not great.

wish they were totally vegan, but i get it - Edit
i’ve never had moroccan food before, but put me down as a fan. ive had the vegan pizza on pita (literally a must), moroccan eggplant salad, falafel, and a couple of the other vegan staples. my husband had the “hummus salad” which fyi isn’t salad with hummus on top and it actually just a huge bowl of hummus lol (but we can’t complain). i wish they were totally vegan, but i understand that some animal products go into moroccan food so i get it. they have more vegan options than not, which is great!! the menu in there is pretty cramped tho, so i’d order ahead of time online if you can. it’s cool to see a veg place in a rural area !! loving the accessibility !!!! keep it up !!

The Moroccan sampler plater was delicious. We added the falafel which were also tasty. The hibiscus water was refreshing and lightly sweetened.

Little treasure! - Edit
Great location right in the square. The falafel was the best I’ve had outside of Israel! We also had a pizza, hummus, a couple more salads, dolmades, and the chili. All was excellent and the staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Many vegan options!

Great Food! - Edit
A tiny little place with a great big heart and fantastic food. All items can be veganized and gluten-free, everything is made fresh with whole foods and amazing flavors. In a desert of non-vegan eateries this is a wonderful oasis. Thanks to Leslie!

We LOVE this place! They have been in Woodstock for years. I recently decided to do a huge catering order for a party we hosted and everyone went nuts over the spreads. Our favorite is all the vegan Moroccan salads OMG SO AMAZING! Also a huge fan of the pita vegan pizza, spicy olives, and eggplant salad.. just wow! Now I’m hungry writing this review!

Wonderful Surprise in Northern IL - Edit
I was delighted to stumble upon this treasure in small town northern Illinois. The owner was super friendly and accommodating when I informed her I was vegan. She quickly pointed me in the direction of items (both on & off the menu) from which I could choose.

The next time I get to IL with my wife, I think we'll have to make a point to take a drive up to Woodstock to be sure to enjoy more of the menu here.

My wife and I stopped here on our way home from Chicago and had delicious meals. The staff was very friendly and careful to explain what was vegetarian and what was vegan for us. Great falafel, not greasy.

Great Food! - Edit
I love this place. To be honest with you it is the ONLY, and I mean ONLY place around that is like it. Food is wonderful tasty and great for you. Living in the Midwest is very hard for a person wanting to become a vegan, there are factory farms all around. Most are in denial about how animals are treated here too. This is one place that needs glass walls so everyone can truly see how these farms animals are treated and they can WAKE UP!. I am so thankful that Expressly Leslie's is here!!!!

Great Food, Bad Hours - Edit
Great Middle Eastern food, plenty of vegan options, but very limited hours. Great to go to the farmers market in Woodstock and get some lunch too (although it gets very busy then), but I would come much more often if she was open for dinner.

Expressly Leslie - vegan options :) - Edit
Expressly Leslie is a great new addition to the Woodstock Square and probably the only vegetarian restaurant in the immediate area. I only wish there was a vegetarian restaurant when I lived in Woodstock years ago.
Read moreSo, the cafe is located in a little mall near the Starbucks - it's a little hard to spot, so just park somewhere in the square and walk around. The food style is Mediterranean, so you can compare it to your local falafel place. The owners were very friendly and made a few suggestions regarding the vegan fare. At their suggestion I ordered the falafel pita sandwich and had a vegan truffle for dessert. I thought the sandwich was average and I really liked the truffle. To be honest I was shocked that they had a vegan dessert, in Woodstock for that matter, so one extra cow for that.
Overall I think the food is a 3, but I'm adding that fourth cow for being the only place in 'the middle of nowhere' with vegan food and for that tasty vegan truffle.

The Best Food - Edit
I am not a vegetarian, but I love to eat vegetables and eating here makes me feel great! Leslie makes some of the best food on the planet and I feel so lucky that she is nearby. I have several family members who are vegetarians and they always ask me to order from Leslie's catering items and bring it to them. The sampler's are a great way to sample her salads. Another favorite of mine is the Farmer's breakfast. I also catered Leslie's food for my son's birthday party and the salads were a beautiful presentation. Not the run of the mill catered food, which was nice for a party. This is a definite must try for vegetarians, non-vegetarians, people who like mediterranean specialites, etc. She has the best hummus I have ever had. Great job Leslie!
