Amazing little treat - Edit
Hubby and I got some takeaway boxes from the farmer’s market, and were happily satisfied. My only critique was one of the workers (seemingly a manager) didn’t know if the spring rolls were vegan or not. Every other worker assured me they were, but this guy said they had egg in them. We ended up not getting them, but I would just really appreciate some better knowledge on your products.

amazing sri lanken food :) - Edit
i’ve never had any sri lanken food prior to this; however, i’ve enjoyed every single thing i’ve ever gotten from here! everybody is very kind and there are meditations and different events hosted at the temple as well. some saturdays they have lunch boxes you can order on eventbrite, containing curries, rice, noodles, etc and the occasional soup, salad, other vegan items. sometimes there is mango ice cream as well (coconut milk)! all the lunch boxes i have ordered are 100% vegan and the food is so so flavorful & very spicy!
Read moreadditionally, i’ve seen the garden in the back where they grow a lot of their ingredients! i love knowing all the food is fresh and made with love
*note: they should be at the woodstock farmer’s market on saturdays when the market is active

Best Sri Lankan food in the Midwest - Edit
The Blue Lotus Temple Lovingkindness Kitchen offers catering in three sizes: Small (serves 2-5 people), half trays (serves 10-15 people), full trays (serves 20-50 people). On some weekends, they offer single person options for pick up at lunchtime. All food is prepared with fresh ingredients by the monks. Each item is made to order so you can customize your spice preference. The monks are willing to accommodate dietary restrictions or preferences. I believe all menu items are vegan or vegetarian.

Pick up your order and walk across the street to the Woodstock Square and pick a spot to enjoy your meal. After you eat, check out the shop around the Square and take in the history. Check out the Groundhog Day movie locations in town.
