Excellent vegan deli!

Good selection of bento boxes of various sizes. Really delicious and very reasonable prices. All vegan so no stress!

Pros: Lots of options, take out and eat in, vegan sweets, vegan meals, reasonably priced

Cons: Sometimes sell out of bento boxes by early evening, closes early

Rare vegan restaurant in Fukuoka

I ordered their "dinner plate" and every dish was downright delicious. The staff didn't seem to know much English, but we figured it out together--they were all so lovely! You get a lot of food for the price.

Yum!

The meals here are good - just like their bento boxes. Definitely worth a visit if you're nearby.

Good relation between price and amount

We got a japanese plate with brown rice, soup and several other vegetables for 1000Y. The food is quit good but tends to be more average. Anyway, I didn't regret trying this one.

Flagship Restaurant of Vegan Chain in Fukuoka

Read more in this vegan Fukuoka guide: https://itravelforveganfood.com/vegan-fukuoka-guide/

This place in Hakata Riverain shopping center (博多リバレインモール) is Each Dining’s main restaurant. You can get here by going to the Nakasukawabata Station.

For lunch set, it comes with a main dish (I chose the ‘oyster’ which is made with tofu, mushroom, etc), side dishes, salad, miso soup and rice. All the dishes are well made. Healthy and delicious.

This katsu cutlet sandwich uses a Japanese wheat gluten roll called fu. It has a soft chewy texture, but it’s deep fried like a cutlet. With the teriyaki sauce and cabbage, it is a filling and tasty option apart from the lunch set.

They also serve desserts like muffins or some seasonal items. The muffin is pretty healthy but it’s not dry. And the dessert cup has soy cream, sweet red bean, rice mochi, banana slices, jelly, and topped with matcha syrup. However, the dessert cup is a seasonal item.

If you come in closer to their closing time, they may have discounts on their takeaway bento boxes. During one of the visits, the bento boxes were discounted by 50%.

Pros: Good vegan food, Relaxing Environment, Friendly Staff

Great bagel

I’m here now enjoying the Bagel filled with potatoes and “mayonnaise”. Delicious.
Photo uploaded.
BTW: the place is opened on Sunday, unlike what’s written here.

Really good bagel

We went there twice today since it is close to where we are staying. The bagel with potato salad is really good! The chinese yam deepfried like oyster meal was also really good as well as the seitan. Would not recommend the vegeterian hamburger meal since it was just a really small something that I could not really call a hamburger.
Staff was really friendly.

Pros: Great bagel, staff friendly

Cons: Vegeterian hamburger meal

Simple, Healthy, Tasty

I recommend the set menu for a healthy tasty meal which surprised me as it went on, ordered extra miso soup after. Took a bento box away with me for later and that was delicious too!

Bland Burger :(

Wish I could try the three-course meal but all I tried was the bagel burger and it wasn't that tasty. The bagel bread itself was nice but the contents inside was pretty plain. I might have had a better time with another dish but the price kept going up higher than my budget warranted.

It was a bit confusing with the staff since the one waiter didn't come to our table for ten minutes even though it was just one other customer (who had already been served). I went up to him instead and he ushered me back to my table. He then took my order. He did not speak any English which was fine since I spoke a bit of Japanese.

excellent service

I don't speak much nihongo at all but the staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make sure I understood and got what I wanted.
I got the Evah set. So much food! Three courses for ¥1,800. Can't get that in Aus. The miso soup was my favourite.

Great food, small portion

The food here is great. I had a burger with soy patty that came with fries and a small seaweed salad, tea, and I also ordered a cranberry cupcake.

The portions are definitely on the small side, but the food was delicious. I wanted to switch the tea that came with the burger combo to another drink, but it wasn't possible. Staff didn't speak English and there's also no English menu, but thankfully I went with Japanese friends so the communication was fine.

I am in Fukuoka for 3 days and Evah Dining is the closest most accessible vegan option for me. I ate there last night. Please note the hrs are incorrect. not open till 10pm. Last order is 7pm and they close at 7:30pm along with the entire mall. No one spoke any English so thank goodness for Google translate.

Pros: All vegan, Healthy, Japanese flavoring to all food

Cons: No English, Last order by 7pm,

Peaceful and tasty

Inside Riverain Mall which is otherwise mostly closed during the evening, so very quiet and peaceful. Set meal was an adventure in flavors, and almost more than enough for one person. Service was very accommodating, even though I didn't speak Japanese and the server didn't speak English. We still communicated well.

Pros: expedient and friendly service

Cons: relatively limited menu

Good to average.

Compared with eating out in Tokyo and other venues in Fukuoka this was decidedly average, the food was fine, the location fine, the customer service average and a little distant to what we'd become accustomed to on our trip. The ¥1,800 plate was unavailable so we couldn't have what we wanted.

Pros: Good food, nice location.

Cons: Inattentive customer service.

Convenient but a little disappointing

I used to go to Evah Dining in Daimyo/Akasaka area. It was also small cozy restaurant and serving really good vegan food.

After they reopened in Hakata Riverain Mall, I visited there for lunch and dinner, but both of food were kinda dissapointing.

I know it's hard to find vegan food in Japan especially in Kyushu, and Evah Dining often has saved my life. However, the food I've tried so far wasn't very impressive.
Curry meant to be Sri Lankan was salty and lack of spices. Mexican pasta was good but I liked the one they used to serve in Akasaka.
However, their desserts I've tried so far were mostly great. I do recommend you to order herb coffee jelly, which tastes real coffee.

After they expanded their business, I guess their food quality in restaurant has declined. I did feel they cook food with always the same ingridents to also make bentos. Such as Taco Rice and Mexican Pasta, and curry is the totally same as curry bento in their other shops.
But it also has positive side that you can get vegan bentos easily in Japan, which is very cool!

I would probably just buy bentos instead of going to restaurant.

Still, they open almost everyday and it's easy to access, I would recommend people to visit at least once. Also restaurant atmosphere is nice.

Pros: convenient, open everyday, good food

Cons: small food

Great food but...

I'm so glad a place like this exists and especially in Japan. My experience here was a little mixed. I had the taco rice, which I've always wanted to try but can't due to lactose intolerance so I'm glad I found a vegan version. The absolute star of the show as of course the desert plate. The fruit and seed muffin, chocolate brownie cake with soy milk cream and chopped (dried cherries or cranberries I'm not sure) was absolutely amazing. Loved it. Having said that the reason I only give it four stars instead of five is their lack of initiative with service and attention to customers. Two things I hate most in hospitality is lack of customer service and too much customer service. It's about balance guys... Anyway, I found myself having to yell out "sumimasen!" to grab the waitress's attention as she was often in the back of the kitchen. When I did place my order I ordered the desert plate at the same time as my main meal. I finished my main meal and then sat there playing with my phone for a good 15mins or more before I began to wonder what was happening with the desert plate. I then figured I had to ask for it when I wanted it. I found this odd. I'm not overly familiar with Japanese restaurant dining but I think it's strange and almost uninviting for the front of house to be unattended. The staff were however, polite when serving customers. I think if they could improve customer service and always having someone at the front of house to greet customers even during quieter times (which is when I went), the customer's overall experience could be improved. That's my two cents on the matter. Still highly recommend this place as a vegan.

Pros: Great flavours , Clean and tidy floor, Simple decor

Cons: Lack of attention to customer service

Dessert Plate is Awesome!

Very nice spot on Level 1 of this mall of luxury. Yet, prices are very reasonable and atmosphere is sublime.

Burger plate gave a fair amount of food for about $10 (U. S. ), but the dessert plate stole the show.

For around $5 I chose a muffin flavor (green tea), got a small slice of chocolate cake and a dollop of soy cream topped with pieces of plum, or something. Along with the coffee which came with burger plate, it was delightful!

Pros: Reasonable pricing, Quality food, Great atmosphere and service

Cons: None!

Cute café with great food

I had dinner at Evah tonight for my first day ever in Japan! The restaurant is small and cozy with a nice atmosphere. I can't read Japanese and speak very little, but the wait staff were very kind and helpful! There are dinner set meals where you can choose from different options for the main dish. I had the breaded cutlet with almond and sauce, brown rice, miso soup, salad, pickled eggplant/onion, and a pasta side dish. Everything was delicious. I would definitely go again and recommend it to others!

Pros: Everything is vegan!, dessert options, reasonably priced set meals

Cons: No English menu

Evah Dining

Vegan restaurant serving excellent macrobiotic vegan food.
Set meals are currently ¥1000 for lunch and ¥1500 for dinner, which is very reasonable. They also have a small bakery and take away section.

The location is very convenient, you can enter the mall from Nakasu Kawabata’s station exit #6 (same exit as Fukuoka’s Asian Art Museum). The restaurant is located on the first floor.

Pros: Delicious, Vegan, Location

Cons: No English menu
