No more vegan burgers - Edit
As of right now, no vegan burgers are sold. They still seem to have vegan sides. Check their Instagram before coming here, they will update there.

I talked with the owner about this. Their reply: "We have changed our vegan patty supplier and are currently waiting for them to be delivered. Please rest assured that we will start serving vegan burgers again as soon as possible."

After having travelled all day, this was one of the only places still open, and lucky for me it was just down the road from my hostel.
Read moreI got the vegan onion burger, and honestly it might have been the best burger i’ve had in Japan so far. It was super filling and just what i needed after a long day.
Staff was nice and let me sit until they closed.

Delicious burger - Edit
I expected only one small option but was pleasantly surprised to see that you can choose not only the type of hamburger but also the type of patty. I took the avocado burger and got a generous portion, juicy with fresh vegetables, and crispy potatoes on the side. I think there is also an option for vegan mayonnaise but I forgot to ask.

Vorsicht bei diesem Restaurant, die Verkäuferin hat mir gesagt, dass bei allen Burgern, trotz Vegan-Zeichens Ei zum Bestreichen der Brötchen genutzt wird, somit ist nur der Salat vegan.

I checked with the owner in Japanese and the coating on the buns has been changed and they are 100% vegan. So please don't worry, the burgers are vegan. :)

I ended up getting the vegan burger with wedges and a vegan smoothie. All of it was delicious. The menu was easy to understand, and the staff were helpful and friendly. I did go a second time, but they had run out of the vegan patties, so maybe go earlier for dinner if possible.

Burger, both avocado and teriyaki tasted good and had a good size. The onion and fries as a sidedish were okay, fries could have been more seasoned and the onion rings were a bit too hard fried.

The toppings and chips were fresh, and the buns were so fluffy! I got an avocado burger, it was one of the juiciest burgers I’ve had! It was at a reasonable price especially given the portion sizes.

Unique cafe in Hakata! - Edit
The vegan menu is clearly labeled and staff were friendly and knowledgeable which gave me peace of mind. This cool cafe is also an interior goods shop so the tables are surrounded by wallpaper, lighting, flooring, curtains, etc which creates a really unique dining atmosphere (and you can buy them all too)! This cafe also regularly hosts DIY workshops, so I will definitely come back again! Really glad more vegan-friendly places are coming to Hakata! Wish I could give them 5 stars. :)

I was looking for something to eat in Fukuoka when I found Tomoyasu. I checked the menu and was surprised to see clearly marked vegan options. I ordered the Vegan Avocado Burger (soy patty). All burgers come with some french fries and a small salad. Since I was the only customer in the afternoon, I didn't have to wait long for my burger to arrive.
