Surprisingly good

My partner and I didn't have high expectations about this little place near June Lake, but we were really hungry so we gave it a try. Wow. First of all, the owner is very friendly and makes all her own salad dressings, only one of which (ranch) is not vegan. So we were able to have a vegan Caesar salad, a spinach-walnut salad, and perhaps the best chili we've ever had. If you're driving along Hwy 395 near Mono Lake or Mammoth, head over to Epic Cafe for an excellent meal.

Pros: Many vegan meal options, Friendly service, Good value

Cons: No vegan dessert options, Currently no seating (due to COVID restrictions)

So glad we found this place

This place was very busy, but somehow they were able to seat and serve all with great efficiency and attention to detail. I had the brown rice bowl with tofu-great flavor and plenty of food.

Pros: Casual and inexpensive , Clean, Beautiful garden for outdoor seating

A cute spot in the middle of a long drive

They definitely serve meat and dairy but the place has vegan options. I got their spinach, strawberry and walnut salad, I asked them for no feta and added tofu. It was big and refreshing in a balsamic sauce. Also, the cafe seems to be an earth-friendly establishment with composting and recycling. Not an easy place to find because the internet reception in the area is very limited.

Pros: Vegan options , outdoor seating, Family owned

Cons: Serves meat and dairy

Nice staff and at least one or two vegan options

We had the quinoa salad and a fabulous potato dill soup. Wish they offered more choices but the quality was great and a good start.

Pros: Vegan option was delicious and fresh. , Staff friendly even though busy, Cute venue with outdoor seating options.

Cons: Need a more vegan items.
