Unpopular opinion - Edit
We had an underwhelming experience, maybe my expectations were too high. The service is incredible, the sommelier was fantastic, the food was not what I was hoping for. The ingredients were extremely humble and in my opinion, lacked the creativity I would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant, especially considering the price. We have been to many Michelin restaurants and I have never been disappointed until this meal. For the money I was expecting to be blown away and that was not the case.

An Experience - Edit
Yes, it's expensive. Yes, it's a bit precious. Yes, it's worth every penny. The food is innovative -- you will never find anything like it anywhere else. We got a kitchen tour. Suffice it to say it was nothing like what I expected from The Bear. Immaculate, quiet, orderly and no drama. Service was incredible.

What a joy to experience a meal of this caliber that is vegan knowing the food I’m eating is the chef’s true vision and not an afterthought on a meat-centric menu. If you can, go here. Mind blowing.

Once in a lifetime experience - Edit
The food was art, the service was impeccable, the setting was perfect. If you get a chance to go, I cannot recommend it enough. Make sure to read about Daniel Humm and the fascinating story of the “best restaurant in the world” going plant based. It was a bold move but it proves to the world that food, even on the highest level, doesn’t have to come at the expense of animals.

Summer vegetable themed dinner — tomato, zucchini, sunflower, squash blossoms — was lovely. Great selection of non-alcoholic drinks.

i know it’s pricey, but hear me out. the service staff tends to your every need, the food is beautifully presented, and it tastes just as good. it’s a unique fine dining experience, with a rotating seasonal menu. i hope i can go back again some day, until then i’ll just keep dreaming about that delicate squash blossom that exploded in my mouth with flavor. 🤤

I used to work here, the kitchen is immaculate and the amount of work we put into the food is astronomical, having dined in for my anniversary the table service is 100% and that's a big part of the experience and bill but it's well worth it to see the heights of culinary and hospitality artistry.

The hype is real? - Edit
It's tricky to review this place, but overall it was an interesting experience. Most of the dishes were not only tasty but also very creative and looked like a work of art. I do think it's a bit over-hyped (featured in numerous Netflix shows) and overpriced though. You get a goodie box containing house made granola, playing cards and a tote bag at the beginning of the meal, plus some more granolas (placed in a not very useful mini tote bag).
Read moreYou also get a chance to chat with Daniel Humm (the chef/owner) and have a picture together.
I did like the cocktails - top quality.
Taking everything into account, like astronomical prices (over $1000 for two people with drinks and tips), the venue and quality of the dishes I think it's still worth going if you can as there aren't that many 3 Michelin * plant based restaurants out there.

Best dining experience I’ve ever had - Edit
The service was exceptional, the food was complex and delicious. My wife and I got the bar tasting menu (5 courses) and loved every one of them. The cocktails and wine were also delicious, ordered a la carte.

Excellence as expected - Edit
The food, services and ambience were all excellent as expected.
Read moreWe had I believe 9 courses, did not take any photos, and they all looked beautiful.
The taste was great, they do not try to replicate meat or fish, there is very much a focus on imagination and excellence.
Would I go back, surely would, obviously expensive, but you have a culinary experience for 3 hours, excellent food, and you are treated so well.
Pros: Imagination in the food, Service level
Cons: Maybe a bit foo foo

Eleven Madison Park - Edit
Edit: I’ve now been to all three services and would recommend the bar or the next level up. The top level (full menu) wasn’t that impressive and it was not worth the extra cost. The wine pairings were well done though.

Excellent ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Michelin Star restaurant with 100% vegan menu! We dined here as part of my birthday celebration and the staff were incredibly kind the whole time, so many people wished me a happy birthday and it was very nice. All of the food was excellent and you could tell that it was meticulously thought through and prepared. I did try the seitan in my partner’s Morels dish (avoiding the mushrooms!) and it was the best seitan I’ve ever had in my entire life. The whole meal was extremely memorable from start to finish. The dishes I thought were the highlights were the Tomburi and the Strawberry 🍓 dessert.
Note: We opted for the shorter version of dinner in the bar area because we personally do not like how long tasting menus take at Michelin star restaurants. The meal was still incredibly for filling and experience was just what we expect from this type of restaurant. The bar area didn’t even feel like a bar area, as it felt more like a restaurant atmosphere. Just expect to fork over at least $400 the cost of any drinks tip.

We did the six course plus wine pairing which was more than enough food. I wasn't sure what to expect from a three-star Michelin restaurant but our minds were blown. Exceptional service, exceptional food and truly a dining experience.

Underwhelming - Edit
Of the 6 course menu, only 2 dishes were wonderful (teensy leek salad and the maiteke mushroom and seitan dish) Everything else was interesting but not great. The restaurant was somewhat dark, lacked color, it seemed a bit joyless, the tiny courses took too long to serve, and I did not like wine pairings (too dry). In a nutshell, the experience was not worth the astronomical price.

3 Michelin Star Vegan Restaurant - Edit
We arrived early and had a diet coke in the bar area. The velvet seats were relaxing. The modern art on the walls and the golden stars over head were gorgeous. The music softly playing was also relaxing. We were seated in the corner booth with soft velvet seats and a view of the restaurant. I am glad we didn't get a regular table. The restaurant is beautiful, open and the windows provided a view of the trees at the park across the street. The waitress brought our drinks from the bar area. We were provided with hot towels to clean our hands. I loved that detail. The broth we started with was amazing. Every dish was interesting and flavorful. One dish was wrapped in a grape leaf. One was streamed at the table. The desserts were amazing. The sparkling water was very nice and they kept the glass full. The coffee with oat milk and natural sugar was delicious. The last non-alcoholic vermouth with their logo on the ice was a nice ending. The service was attentive and detailed like I have never experienced in my life. I will keep the glass container with the granola in the cloth bag and think of this experience when I look at it. The granola was delicious as well the next morning.

Best of the best - Edit
I have given lots of 5 stars on happy cow, but they pale in comparison to the experience at 11 Madison Park. This is a place for a special occasion (and special budget). If you decide to go for this experience you can expect delicious food beautifully presented and served by staff with great expertise. Really enjoyed the evening. It was a splurge, but given the opportunity I’d happily return!

Best Meal Experience of My Life - Edit
I treated myself to a birthday dinner at Eleven Madison Park last night. The meal was unbelievable. The service was incredible. The ambience was breathtaking. I got to the restaurant a little early, as they were opening, and they invited me to sit at the bar till my table was ready. I sat down, and the bartender greeted me and said “oh by the way, I hear you have a birthday, happy birthday.” I didn’t even tell him my name. The hostess taking me to my table wished me a happy birthday. The section manager walked over to my table and wished me a happy birthday. All of the food runners who came to my table wished me a happy birthday. That’s incredible service. But it gets better. As I get to the dessert part of my eight course meal, the guest manager comes over and introduces herself and wishes me happy birthday. She said we have a gift for you if you’d like, would you like to tour the kitchen. I was like absolutely. So I got a tour of the kitchen, which was spectacular. While I was back there, the chef made me a special drink, which was amazing. When I came back, they had another special dessert of chocolate pretzel, the smoothest cocktail I have ever had, and a gift of granola to take with me. It was truly hands-down one of the best restaurant experiences of my life.

The meal of a lifetime - Edit
We came for the 25th anniversary tasting menu and made reservations for the bar tasting (5 course) a couple weeks beforehand online. I recommend making reservations several weeks before hand if you are trying to book a group. I don’t think I could have eaten any more so the bar tasting was a good option for us.
Read moreThe service here is stellar. Even though I came right from work and was dressed down, the atmosphere was very comfortable. Before we started they asked about allergies and food preferences. When I said I didn’t like sweets they offered to swap out my dessert for a savory dish. 💯💯💯💯
The food was amazing. This was the most expensive and also best meal of my life. The carrot tartare was good, but I didn’t really like the self assembly aspect of it. I’d rather leave that to the chef. The almond ricotta tortellini (with truffle) was incredible, but the seitan steak was absolutely the highlight of the evening. I hope they offer this again someday. 🥰
Pros: The food and service are tops

Amazing! - Edit
What an experience, I have been here about 6 years ago before they were plant based and they did create a vegan menu for us which was incredible, but this last visit was just amazing! The staff are just so friendly and always attentive. The whole meal was just sensational and there is nothing we didn't like! The bread and butter is sooo good, we asked for more! It is expensive but they do not disappoint in terms of the food and ambience. They send you home with granola! we told them it was our wedding anniversary and they made a point of congratulating us!
