It's okay

It's a cute small cosy cafe, it's a mixed meat vege and vegan restaurant. Vegan options were quite limited. No lasagne, oy things they had as a lunch option was a vegan empanada and a vegan sandwich. The vegan sandwich was essentially grilled bread and roasted aubergine no sauce or spice or salt. Very plain. I couldn't finish it unfortuanely as it was so dry. My friend got a vegetarian lasagne and she says it was incredibly salty. Glad to know there is an option in the town tho. Unsure I'd come here again.

Pros: They had a few vegan sweets but didn't try

Cons: No taste, Two options

Good food on a budget

Lasagna was very nice, even if a little oily, it's worth a visit even if just for the vegan empanadas. We also got some truffles and mini biscuits which weren't to my taste, but it's nice to have options.
Owner/staff don't speak English, but with a little basic Spanish and google translate you can get what you need.

Pros: Choice of vegan food to eat in and to take away, Vegan options are clearly labeled

Cons: You need at least basic Spanish.

Nice empanadas

I got one of each of the vegan empanadas which cost 10 soles together. A good snack or meal to take hiking.

great place for lunch for everyone.

Some good and obvious vegan options. 4 grilled sandwich, 2 vegan empanadas (one is chard, one is artichoke) fresh juices, soya milk for coffees, a few packaged snacks, and truffles for dessert. The price was great. I got 1 sandwich, 2 empanadas for the road, 2 truffles for dessert, a capuccino, and a bar for the trail, for under 40 sols.

Pros: clearly marked vegan options, great prices

Cons: owner does not speak english

It's OK

For 34 soles, we got a vegan, pre-made, microwave-heated lasagna (too greasy but tasty, not huge) and 3 empanadas. The place looks really nice and the lady there is very pleasant and helpful as well. But not many vegan options, vegetarian maybe. And it feels a bit too expensive.

Pros: nice place, nice lady

Cons: expensive, not many vegan options

Cute, Small Cafe

I enjoy coming to El Eden.

While not totally vegan, I enjoy coming here for a quick bite. I found their vegan empanada to be really, really tasty and their vegan truffles to be pretty good as wel.

There is also some nice home-made jams, pastas, breads, and other condiments. She also has other desserts without gluten but not many were vegan - but they looked good.

Worth stopping in for a quick bite or just to check-out!

Pros: vegan options, cute cafe

Natural foods, mostly lacto-veg, limited vegan options

El Edén is a natural foods café, bakery, and shop, with a menu featuring mostly lacto-vegetarian items, some meat, and limited vegan options.

Specifically, the vegan options during my visit (Sep '16) were empanadas (pretty good), chocolate truflles (excellent), and some nice gluten-free biscuits). All vegan options were clearly labeled as such. They also have a few shelves of packaged natural food items.

I would've visited more often if there were more vegan options. Non-vegans might find it interesting enough for return visits.
