Go there!

Yeah this place is full-on awesome. Some of the tastiest food I've ever had, and I'm in love with several of the staff. Easily one of my favourite restaurants in big bad London.

Pros: Taste, People

Delicious food

I had the vegan gf plantain and calaloo meal, really tasty and the sweet potato fries were delicious. Wasn't so keen on the green smoothie, perhaps a bit too healthy for me! Really nice guy on the till. Small place but theres some outside seating too.

Pros: Lots of gf options

Cons: Not a lot of seating

Very good Jamaican restaurant

A very good surprise on this market! We chose the big plate for two persons, we were three, it was perfect (and the price was totally OK, 22,50 pounds).
We got at least 7 or 8 different dishes. May be a bit salty sometimes but tasty and fresh.

Pros: Vegan only, Nice staff, Cheap

Great for lunch

I popped in for a quick lunch on Saturday and at 12 it was already busy, a good sign! i ordered the chickpea curry which tasted great and not too spicy as I'm a wimp! The quinoa was nicely seasoned and the dumpling I had was light and delicious.

Super delicious food

Been wanting to try this place for a while and it certainly didn't disappoint! Really delicious and satisfying food and great value for money.
I would recommend getting one of their 'meal' options, which come with grains, side and salad - I got the ackee meal option, which came with rice, macaroni pie and salad, all for £8.95 and there was loads of it!
Saw lots of people having burgers which also looked great but in my opinion you have to try the West Indian dishes which are a bit more special and unique to this place - I would definitely recommend the ackee and macaroni pie.

Pros: Great value, All Vegan, Fairly healthy

Cons: Not many tables, Service seemed a little slow/chaotic

Ok burgers

Small restaurant (more suited for take away since seating area is limited). Service is friendly but a bit chaotic (forgotten drinks, food items). Burgers are ok. Not the best I’ve eaten but not bad either.

Pros: Cozy, 90s music, Cheap

Cons: Chaotic, Small seating area

All vegan West Indian food

I always have the Eden platter here because there's loads of it and you get half a dozen different items. This time I had quinoa, rice, fried plantains, callaloo, a little dumpling, tofu ackee, a veggie curry and Mac and cheese.

Delicious food.

Avoid rush hour at lunch or dinner so you can eat comfortably. Wide range of options, and you can take away or make meals.

Pros: Very friendly staff.

Cons: Very small sitting area.

Great Wrap

I went here on a Sunday for a quick lunch. It opened half an hour late, but was worth the wait. The wrap was really tasty and it included a good amount of salad.

The staff are friendly. The inside is small, but nicely done. I'll be back.

Pros: Tasty wrap, Friendly staff, Great value

not a nice burger

The burger was just a cheap burger like the kind you get in Iceland a while packet for a pound. The bread was cold and the salad was very very small.
Also 80% of the drinks were not available, we just had what was there.
I am 100% supporting the vegan community and always going to Vegan places but this was a disappointment! I won’t be going back anytime soon...
there are many other nicer places...
For some reason the staff was not attentive to us at all, they were just busy talking between them...

The place to go in Brixton

This was one of my favourite places: When you visit for the first time, you should get the platter which gives you samples of most of the great foods they have on offer, for about 12 pounds (the menu on their website shows cheaper prices than the one in the shop). I also loved the plantain wrap. The owners are extremely friendly, the atmosphere and music in the place is great and the drinks are pretty decent as well.

Pros: Great food, Great atmosphere

we stumbled across it by chance because we were in the area. I've been looking for a place like this in Europe for ages. Amazing Jamaican food. We had the plate, wrap and cake. Very delicious. highly recommended.

Pros: great food, nice atmosphere
