Best Thai food I've ever had - Edit
The food was amazing and the staff were really kind, letting us sit outside and eat even though we had turned up 15 minutes before closing.
Read moreThe cod with lemon grass was our favorite dish but also loved the calamari, tofu skewers and garlic chicken

Food is above average but not 5*. - Edit
I went and had the crispy dumplings and pad thai.
Read moreThe crispy dumplings were excellent but I didn’t really get on with the pad thai. I found the apples didn’t really work with the dish and ruined it a bit so I ended up eating them first. Also, I found the pad thai too bean-sprouty i.e. it had way too much bean sprout! This ruined and the apples ruined the overall taste of the dish. The noodles themselves were good but there was not enough of them. I feel like they should have more noodles and less bean sprout in this dish and do away with the apple.
Pros: Good crispy dumpling, Friendly staff and good customer service, 100% vegan
Cons: Weird pad thai, No hot drinks (no green tea or jasmine tea)

Muan - Edit
We had the redefine steak and the vegan mince lunch special. Everything was really good and presented very beautifully. My only feedback is that the redefine steak was a bit dry (probably because it’s sliced so thinly and it is extremely crispy on the outside), but the sauce that came with it was really delicious. I rounded up my 4.5 rating to 5.

Great eaterie in Brixton Village - Edit
Conveniently located in the middle of Brixton Village. I had papaya salad which was fresh and spicy and crispy dumplings in tamarind sauce which was very tasty. Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere

Great food in adorable setting - Edit
We only had the chive cakes here but they were awesome. They were more rectangular rather than square unlike the ones served at Mali Vegan Thai in Earls Court. Super crispy and delicious. We were able keep our bikes at the table which was nice. I’d come back for more.

Super lovely food - Edit
We’d previously visited Mali Thai and loved it so I was very excited to have muan here! The food was delicious although I thought the serving sizes were quite small for the price, but it is London prices.

Fantastic Menu - Edit
The 'dips' (which were like mini meals in themselves), bruschetta, steak and salads were all excellent and the Thai iced coffee, whilst a little small, was similarly delicious - I was a little bit disappointed with the vegan squid at £11 as I didn't think a huge amount of it personally and have certainly had much better elsewhere - but everything else was fantastic - this place is a really great addition to Brixton's growing vegan restaurant scene.

Flavour explosion! - Edit
Stunning addition to the vegan offerings in Brixton Market. Muan focuses on Thai street food and really delivers on flavour and value for money. I had the stir fried vegan mince with chili, basil and rice and it was mouthwateringly good!! So good in fact that it convinced me to order something else even though I wasn’t hungry. The quinoa, barley and green apple spicy salad was excellent and confirmed that my first dish wasn’t just a fluke.

Honestly - just go!!

Early Days, Hopefully Here to Stay...s - Edit
I visited this new Thai venue with HappyCow founder Eric, on his way to Vegan Campout, and fellow London Ambassadors. Whilst I'm not a foodie (unlike my Thai wife!), I enjoyed my crispy Chinese chive cakes. Staff were attentive, though I think they need to take better note of the order; slight confusion over requests for spicy/non-spicy, etc.

Nice food, friendly staff - Edit
This is a small Thai restaurant in Brixton market. The staff is really friendly and they are happy to make the food less spicy upon request.

Nice but Simple - Edit
Really glad to find an all vegan place that has opened up in the area, but it's not the kind of place I would visit often. The shop is very basic, it's a street style concept with small plates. It's small inside, with some outside tables and stalls with plastic tablecloths draped over the tables and food is served on plastic plates. I lived in Thailand for many years and the set up is very Thai style and I liked that all the staff were actually Thai.
Read moreHowever, the dishes were way too small for us and we would have needed to order about ten between the two of us (and young child) to get full. We ordered four and a couple of drinks and all of that came to fifty quid.
I would expect more for that kind of price. Dishes tasted nice, but nothing overly special. As is always the way with Thai food, we ordered spicy but it really was not spicy, even the somtam which is a typically spicy dish anyway.
I wish them every success but it wasn't really our thing, not saying that it wouldn't be yours.

Fantastic new addition! - Edit
So yummy! It's a small shop located inside of Brixton village and has a range of small plate options. The staff are super friendly and the food comes quick. The oat milk tea and coffee were delicious, the steak was great (a bit pricey but made of redefine), loved the curry and roti and tofu skewers. Most things were a bit spicy so if you aren't into that I think you can ask for less spice.
Read moreIt's the same owners as mali vegan but the food is quite different, and I think I actually prefer it to it! Definitely one to try.

Add it to the top of your list - Edit
Another hard hitter from the same owner as Mali Vegan, Muan dishes up a range of small plates and street food favourites. The drinks menu is as well thought out as the food, and I don't think there's a single item across either that I wouldn't enjoy.
