Solid option in a town without a vegan restaurant

Had the vegan hunan kung pao tofu! I should have asked for the tofu just heated in the microwave, I forgot to check about the shared fryer at this location 🫠 . I love how this dish has tons of veggies, so tasty. The host skipped the tip option on my takeout order which was really sweet and I appreciated the gesture but he went back so I could add a tip. Would have supported local and went to coco’s but the vegan options are limited right now as they operate out of a food truck since their building burned😒

Pros: Tofu , Tons of veggies, Great service as always from earls

Decent Burger and plant based menu

Good to see a couple of plant based options. The burger was decent, vegetable based Pattie.

Delicious vegan kung po stir fry

They had a plant based section on the final page of the menu with 4 dishes. Vegan pizza, beyond burger, my stir fry and a rice dish. Delicious! And I asked for no spice but you can go from 0-5 Hunan peppers if you like spice!

Pros: Location- balcony in Jasper , Lovely atmosphere - bit fancy

Cons: Up a flight of stairs/lift after a day of hiking

Zero vegan options today

After reading all the reviews we were disappointed to find out there were zero options on offer. Not sure if that's a permanent thing or seasonal...

An all time favourite.

I tried the lettuce wrap as usual, and this time i went vegan cheese pizza, it blew my mind.

Pros: Ambience , Food

Cons: Delayed service , No lifts, you’d have to take the stairs.

Delicious and flexible options

They have a large number of plant based options (8). We got the tacos for the table and a modified vegan hunan Kung Pao where we asked for tofu to be added. It was delicious.

Pros: Large range of options , Flexible options

Disappointed

The Impossible burger was incredibly dry and flavourless. The sweet potato fries were too salty and the Street corn avocado dip was good, but not enough chips. Overly priced like most places in Jasper.

Pros: More vegan options since we were last here.

Cons: Dry, flavourless impossible burger. , Expensive , Cold on arrival

Go for food choices and view

Compared to most places in Jasper, Earl’s has a tad more. I got the Beyond burger, it was fine, and my spouse got the Buffalo cauliflower (soggy and almost fishy). The service was not excellent, quick enough but not especially friendly. Also, it was reallllly expensive for what we got.

Delicious Hunan Kung Pao

I had the Hunan Kung Pao with extra tofu (20$). I recommend this plate. It's a bit expensive for tofu, but delicious and good size!

Pros: Good portion, Tasty

Cons: A bit expensive

Good Dishes, Blah Burger

The Hunan Kung Pao was delicious. The Beyond Burger was pathetically small, on a dry bun with minimal toppings. They clearly know vegan made a mistake and correct it before they brought it to the table which I appreciated.

Pros: Clearly understand, Menu clearly labeled vegan.

Cons: Overpriced burgers

Delicious vegan meal

They have a whole plant based section features prominently on their menu! Of course there is still more oil and salt than I would probably use at home, but really an unexpectedly delicious option for a small town.

Pros: Delicious

Cons: Probably still has oil/salt/sugar/fried stuff

Vegan with some alterations

I have been to Earls a few times whilst in Jasper for various birthdays and such. My favourite thing to order is the avocado and quinoa power bowl. I simply ask for no dairy and they just replace the creamy dressing with a champagne vinaigrette. This is a super tasty salad which is packed full of everything you could ever want. The avocado toast is also delicious. Just make sure you ask for that one with no dairy as well as they sneak a creamy sauce onto it. Service is pretty good although i have had trouble getting the attention of my server to pay the bill and leave. It is a very busy place though so that did not bother me.

Pros: Delicious salad

Local's fav

Earl's is a great modern bar and restaurant with delicious food. You won't really find anything on the menu that's 100% vegan, unless its yam fries or a side of some sort but they're more than happy to make some changes here and there to accommodate. I love their avocado and deep fried chickpea power bowl (minus the dressing) and they make a great noodle dish which you can sub noodles for rice! Good prices and GREAT happy hour drinks. Generally pretty busy so it can take a bit for the food to come out but you don't mind drinking and mingling while you wait!

Pros: Accommodating, Variety of dishes, Fresh

Cons: Busy, Nothing 100% vegan on the menu
