Good Food, Reasonable Price

I think I ordered the Tofu Genovese. I thought it was really good, especially considering I don't normally dig salad heavy meals. It was a bit light on the protein, which is a bit of a trend in Japanese vegan restaurants.

Despite the small tofu portion, the meal was filling and came at a more or less standard price for Tokyo vegan food.

Service was friendly and quick. The restaurant was chill and clean. Good ambiance for a casual meetup or maybe even as part of a less formal date.

Menu items were clearly marked as vegan, so you won't be guessing as to what you can eat. Solid variety of menu items for vegans.

Overall; I'll definitely eat at Down to Plant if I am ever in the area again.

Tasty food at the new place in Roppongi Hills

Great taste, good seating area and excellent location. They gave me the plastic fork, hope they will replace the disposals with reusables in the future.

Delicious + whole grains

Recommend! We tried the Spicy Korean "Chicken" Bowl and the Lentil Bowl. I was glad to finally eat some whole grains in a dish :>

Lifesaver

Down to Plant is fantastic and absolutely saved me on our trip to Tokyo. We were staying nearby and had their yum Buddha bowls for pretty much every night of our holiday. They have nine fully vegan bowls. We tried the Earth Bowl, Teriyaki Tsukune, Tofu NanBan, Mexican Chilli, and Tofu Genovese. All were very yum and I wish we had time to try more. There’s also free ice cold lemon water provided free. They’re lovely people, highly recommended!

Would give 5 star if I could!

This was just what we were craving on a hot day. I got the Korean chicken bowl but added vegan egg. It was sooo delicious and the staff were so sweet. The kitchen was immaculate. Really recommend!

Many vegan options

I liked that they offer healthy plant based protein options other than soy meat. A minus is that bowls, cups and cutlery are single used paper and plastics, even if you eat inside the shop.
A bit pricey for the portion.

Tasty vegan salad plates, everything binned after

More than half the menu is vegan, it's tasty and quick but sadly even to eat in everythig is served in single use containers including the cutlery.

Fantastic place

Great place with some really tasty bowls, many vegan options, I went for the terayaki Tsukune very tasty/ healthy and filling. Staff very friendly and nice establishment all round, however the bowls are a bit on the pricey side which is a bit of a shame, 1,400 yen for my bowl, however very good would recommend

Pros: Many plant based options , Great selection including poke and soups

Cons: Expensive

Good place with mostly plantbased options

This place serves chopped salad bowls. They chop the salad fresh and add 5 grain rice together with the other toppings. I chose the lentil curry bowl and it was delicious, especially the dressing. You could sense that it mostly attracts foreigners. Also, there was only one staff member and she had to do everything from handling the orders to making the bowls. This was a little inefficient and could be improved.

Good Selection of Vegan Bowls

I am always down to plant and that's what I came to do when I saw there were vegan friendly bowls available.

The shop offers a variety of veggie and meat bowl options for around ¥1200. Interestingly enough, the entire menu is written in English, so it leads me to believe that it's definitely catered to a foreign crowd.

They are set up like a salad bar where you select a pre-determined bowl and they'll mix it fresh for you before serving. I ordered the Korean Chicken Bowl with soy meat on a bed of brown rice, topped with carrots, red onions, avocado, pumpkin, lettuce, and spicy mayo. My bowl was perfect for the vegan soul in me and a great valued meal.

If you are a frequent customer, they offer a point card where you get a free bowl after your 20th stamp.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Good takeaway food
