Tasty vegan options, nice spot to hang out - Edit
My friend and I got vegan sandwiches. They were nothing to write home about, but tasty and we appreciated the options! They also had vegan scones on display and one of the soups of the day was vegan.

Quaint spot with vegan options - Edit
Cute (and quite spacious) cafe with milk alternatives and a few different vegan food options. I had the vegan Valhalla sandwich and a cafe au lait with oat milk was not disappointed! Definitely will come back again next time I’m in town.

A Community Gem - Edit
The Dovetail Cafe & Marketplace is the kind of place that should exist in every city. It has solid cafe fare with excellent baked goods (I love the vegan peanut butter blondie!), and it has a clear community feeling. The community presence extends from the shops that support local artists and environmental organizations, and the events like the open mic night have a real sense of camaraderie. It's definitely worth getting some vegan treats and a drink, perusing the shops, and relaxing.

Cons: More vegan options are always welcome

The LNPK Veggie - Edit
Will go back to this place! The food was delicious! Large indoor place with small seating outside! I'd highly recommend it! Even the side salad it came with was delicious!

Great space, good vegan options - Edit
My favorite cafe in Duluth! The space is beautiful, inclusive, and easy to be in. And the food is very good, even though the menu has been changing. (RIP vegetarian banh mi) However, it still has plenty of good vegan options.
Read moreMy go-to is the burrito bowl (really a quinoa bowl.) Asking for it vegan holds the cheese and sour cream, and you have the option to add guac or tofu. Their "vegan valhalla" sandwich is great too (advocado, chipotle sauce, tomatoes, marinated tofu), as is their avocado toast.
They also have some good vegan baked goods, with house-made vegan scones, vegan lemon sugar cookies, and gf vegan tahini cookies. My two-year-old niece adores the tahini cookies and prefers them to other cookies, which is great since they're not as sweet.
Their only plant milk is oat milk (gf), which can be used in any of their espresso or tea drinks. You have to ask the staff to add oat milk in your tea or drip coffee, since they only put half-and-half at the condiment station. They also have pretty good teas and a tap list with good variety.
Overall, it's a pretty vegan-friendly place, and much of the menu is either explicitly vegan or can be made that way.
Pros: Great space!, Friendly staff and inclusive values, Vegan-specific options
Cons: Menu is smaller than it used to be, No vegetable-heavy options

I ordered online and it was ready within a reasonable time period. I had the Vegan Valhalla which was advertised as being served on multigrain bread but I received a bagel which was fine with me.

Dovetail - Edit
Only vegan scones in town that I know of and
Read morethey’re delicious.
Heads up— just was informed last visit bagels they use are not vegan. They will substitute bagels for focaccia bread on the tofu breakfast sandwich when they are out.
Really appreciate and love this place, but do wish they had a few more vegan options.

Was wondering why they didn't label that breakfast sandwich as vegan anymore, just vegetarian. Thats a bummer!

Go to Breakfast spot - Edit
They recently added a bagel sandwich and this is now my favorite place to get a vegan breakfast! They highlight local artists and the cafe also has a marketplace for fun gifts and home goods. Street parking but it's not too hard to find parking close by. The staff is always super helpful, space is big with some outdoor seating (when the weather is nice)
