Serves meat, vegan options available. Gluten-free brunch restaurant. Has nut milk, vegan muffins, and tofu scramble. Menu may be a bit confusing so ask for assistance. Reported closed, Aug 2021.
Five stars! (Not possible to give 5 stars for non vegan places) - Edit
We had the savoury muffin with kale, cheese, and salad on the side which was divine. Plus a creamy (valrhona) chocolate and caramel slice which was very very filling and equally good. They also have homemade nut milk.
We had Sunday brunch here and could not decide on the delicious vegan options they had. I had the chickpea omelet and my husband had the sin huervos rancheros. I wanted to try one of their amazing savory vegan muffins but had no room left!
Had a picnic of their chickpeas omelette on the beach! Perfectly packed to go and their chai latte is delightful! The homemade nut milk had cashews and tiger nuts and was really quite good
I had a vegan no egg omelette made with chickpea flour. I asked for the coconut yoghurt on the side because I wasn’t sure if I’d like the combination but honestly it’s better with the yoghurt on top! I had a bite of my friend’s sweet potato pancakes as those are vegan as well and they were to die for! The matcha latte with their homemade nut milk is also amazing it’s very strong and not sweet so if you don’t really like the taste of matcha add some of the maple syrup they give to sweeten it.
We had the sweet potatoe pancakes and the sin huevos rancheros both quite a big portion and really tasty. The restaurant looks like an old american diner and the waiter was incredibly friendly!
Dough Lover (a slightly confusing name for somewhere that doesn’t do gluten..) have taken over the spot that was Redwood on Trafalgar St. The menu was a little confusing it’s all brunch based (it took me a while to spot they were entirely gf and had quite a few vegan options). Staff were really friendly. We had a really light, fluffy and very fresh tofu scramble on some sort of seeded sourdough and some amazingly good sweet potato pancakes with maple syrup and coconut yoghurt. They do bonsoy and nut milk for drinks too.
